No fades and no added music. A taste of Esfahan. Just as we saw it. Just as we heard it.

Meet Miloz Reterski, Bridges to Prosperity's Program Manager in Nicaragua Milosz Reterski is a native of Katowice, Poland, and he grew up in Boston, Massachusetts and Palm Beach, Florida. Milosz worked his way through college as a commercial fisherman and bicycle messenger, and graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design from the Massachusetts College of Art. After college, he realized he wasn't too keen on a career spent in an air-conditioned office, and he enlisted in the United States Navy to pursue his lifelong dream of being a sailor on the high seas. Milosz learned photography, and spent five years traveling the world as a Navy photojournalist. While in the Navy, Milosz worked with Bridges to Prosperity's Director of Information & Media Services, Steve Lanning and was offered a project photographing Bridges To Prosperity's suspension bridge with Ross Construction in La Burrera, Honduras. In the summer on 2008, Ken Frantz offered him a Construction Manager position in Peru, and Milosz spent two months criss-crossing the Andes, working on three bridge sites. In January 2009, Milosz joined the Bridges To Prosperity team as the El Salvador Country Director to start a year-long bridge building program. Click here to see his pictures.

After the engines shuffled to the other end and excursion train 2 passed by it was time to get rolling .... just as the rain started. Light rain, but enough to require frequent cleaning of the lens. It also didn't make the platform ride any warmer. However .... who knows when we'll be back and next time it will be a road and ferry trip to get footage of the trains in specific locations - even if it takes several days for the project. It also will be in the "real summer " instead of late Spring. At least that's the plan :)

Up the White Pass we went on the excursion train. It sure got crowded on the platforms of those cars. As usual there are people who always hog the best spot and won't move, even when they're shooting stills - one or two pictures every few minutes. But WP&YR has a clever rule: you sit/stand on one side of the car on the way up and then switch to the other side of the car on the return trip; same rule applies on the platform. :)
