Mason Marsh has a problem. The 43 year-old photographer and educator from Portland, Oregon can't stop buying camera bags. The addiction started 20 years ago when he bought a canvas Domke bag for his photojournalism job. The simple desire to carry his camera gear in comfort soon grew to become an irresistible obsession. For years he has moved from bag to bag, each time swearing "this is the last one!" His problem has left him with a basement full of empty camera bags and there's no signs of stopping. In this video he shows off his collection and talks about his evolving views on the utility of camera bags. With two decades of experience, he talks about the things he now looks for in a camera bag. Some of the bags he owns and talks about include: Domke F1 shoulder bag Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home shoulder bag Think Tank Photo Retrospective 30 shoulder bag Timbuk2 Snoop camera backpack Gura Gear Kiboko 30L camera backpack Gura Gear Bataflae 32L camera backpack Along with his camera bag obsession, Mason maintains a website of his work, a blog and information on his thrilling photography workshops on his website www.masonmarsh.com

Hi there, as a professional wedding and portrait photographer I have had my fair share of camera bags. My new bag is an Airport International 2 from Thinktank - its like a Tardis in as much as it looks pretty small and holds more than any other bag I have owned. Check it out.

A remote and ancient woodland of native oak & beech, on Dartmoor. The visit took place in the early autumn of 2013. I have created a short film that includes: • A first, field-test review of the unique CoOrdinate Gear modular camera-pack system that I have been fortunate enough to use and test for a few weeks. It also has: • An insightful narrative on the history, flora & fauna of these ancient woods, and some tips and techniques on waterfall photography Above all, it is a rare glimpse into a beguiling place; one that gives an exceptional opportunity to see what the ancient, richly-wooded moor-land looked like after the last Ice Age.

Field-testing our bags is a tough assignment. But hey – somebody has to do it… Together with Marco Tortato of the Manfrotto School of Xcellence and world renowned landscape photographer Adam Barker, our creative team embarked on a 2 days trek to the Ramon Crater, the world's largest erosion crater, and the mountains surrounding the Dead Sea. Equipped with Kata bags packed with photography gear (mainly Manfrotto supports), supplies and maps, we rappelled down cliffs, explored the beautiful Ramon nature reserve and underwent an intensive landscape photography workshop that polished our skills and tested the capabilities of our bags to the max. We got to experience our own Kata bags first-hand and see how they perform outdoors, while rap jumping down a steep cliff or setting up to shoot a perfect sunrise. We all had a great time, and the bags served us well along the way, taking anything we threw at them and never once complaining. But that's exactly the purpose we design them for…

Three different positions allow you to carry the bag according to your needs. Each sling position allows you to carry your equipment and have fast access while shooting. In backpack position you can comfortably carry your equipment for long distance walking when needed. The included chest belt and balancing hip strap helps take the load of your heavy equipment off your shoulders.
