It is a much better viewing experience. Hopefully you have a 1080P monitor and good connection. If not, bug a friend or colleague that does. It is worth it. Landscapes: Volume 2 is the second of a three part series. Every frame of this video is a raw still from a Canon 5D2 DSLR and processed with Adobe software. In Volume 2 I again show off my beautiful home state of Arizona and I also made several trips to Utah. This video has some iconic landmarks that we have seen before. I felt that showing them again with motion controlled HDR and/or night timelapse would be a new way to see old landmarks. Sales Pitch: I would now have to say that my timelapse skill set is very complete. The amount of knowledge I have gained through research, testing, and shooting experience is astounding. From moon phases to high dynamic range to motion control rigs to noise reduction, you would have a tough time finding someone with more overall knowledge of timelapse. Most of the motion control for this video was done with the Stage Zero Dolly by Dynamic Perception. Once I got comfortable using the DP dolly I fell in love. I can set up shots now in much shorter times. More importantly for me, it is much smaller and much more portable than my homemade motion control. Without it, shots like the Delicate Arch shot in Utah would be nearly impossible due to the length of the hike. Buy the Stage Zero Dolly if you are looking for quality, inexpensive, easy-to-use motion control. http://dynamicperception.com/ In addition to the Stage Zero, I also used a three axis motion controlled CamTram. The CamTram is the most versatile dolly I have ever used. Its applications are only limited by your creativity. The CamTram has virtually no weight limit. I was able to achieve shots that dolly-in with the camera just over the ground because of the CamTram's ability to hold heavy counter weights. CamTram Motorized Options Video: http://www.vimeo.com/30385088 The amazing graphic work at the beginning and end was done by Chris Pettit of Digital Skye Media Development. They were very friendly and helpful. http://www.lowell.edu/ Saving the best for last . . . thanks to my wonderful wife Laura. Not only does she put up with and support this crazy passion of mine, she helped out on many of these shots. I think I'll keep her :-) ENJOY

http://wtkphotography.com This timelapse is about a year in the making. I started sometime in June of 2010 and finished it on August 19, 2011. It wasn't constant work of course, just working on it every now and then. I'd estimate I have invested anywhere between 250 and 300 hours on it. Most of this was time I spent walking, biking, or riding the bus to locations I was shooting. There are very few locations I used a car to get to. Total frame count is about 28,000 frames and 85 different shots. All the frames weren't used in the final product as I edited down the clips. You will notice that some of the shots were shaky. San Francisco is a very windy city and even my heavy tripod couldn't remain still. In hindsight I should have bought a different head. All photos were shot in JPEG and then some light editing in Lightroom. Compiled into .mov clips in Quicktime Pro and then all brought together in Final Cut Pro. I started this project because there are so many people photographing the city that I wanted to capture it in a different way that most were not. Between the time I started and the time I finished, timelapses have become huge. It's amazing to see what fellow artists can make with even the most basic equipment. The definitive version of 'Abu Dhabi - 2011' time lapse film. It features the phenomenal original score by Vladimir Persan. Do yourself a favour and watch this film with high quality speakers because the music Vlad composed truly deserves to be heard in all of its glory. Hook your computer to multi-media speakers, home stereo, TV or headphones but DO NOT, for the sake of all that is holy, listen to the sound on the laptop's crappy built-in speaker or just as unforgivably; muted!! UPDATE - 12 March 2012 - Vladimir Persan's Original Soundtrack wins the nomination for 'BEST ORCHESTRAL/INSTRUMENTAL SONG at Hollywood Music in Media Awards 2012' !!!! UPDATE - April 2012 - Portions of 'Abu Dhabi 2011' are featured in the 3rd episode of BBC's 'Wild Arabia' documentary Series UPDATE - Aug 2013 - 'Abu Dhabi 2011' is entered into Encyclopaedia Britannica 'Project Time-Lapse'. Very honored to have my work featured there!! I’d like to thank Timesand Studios for their support on this project. I absolutely must thank Vladimir Persan for his help and the time and efforts he invested into creating the amazing original score. I would also like to extend my gratitude to the obliging staff of Arabian Construction Company and Arabtec - their management was very helpful and understanding - and all the safety staff that catered to my every need throughout the shoot. Lastly, I want to extend my super-special thanks to Mr. Ousama Ghannoum, Marketing and Media Director of Aldar. Without his help, this film would’ve never seen the light. There was quite a media frenzy about this film; below are some of the newspapers, magazines and even TV networks that interviewed me: http://en-maktoob.news.yahoo.com/uae-capital-time-lapse-video-sensation-122900219.html (Yahoo! Tags

Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
