Experimental video shot and directed by me. I used a couple old found footage clips which were from NASA and Cosmos. The video is a metaphor inspired by Carl Sagan's words, "We are a way for the cosmos to know itself". Music- Flight Facilities - "Clair De Lune (Them Jeans)" *I do not own the rights to this song. This is the complete Georges Méliès film "Le Voyage Dans la Lune" with the soundtrack caught from Carl Sagan's "Cosmos - A Personal Voyage". I also used the Apollo 11 launch countdown, and the Neil Armstrong speech from his arrival on the moon. "For most of human history we have searched for our place in the cosmos. Who are we? What are we? We find that we inhabit an insignificant planet of a hum-drum star lost in a galaxy tucked away in some forgotten corner of a universe in which there are far more galaxies than people. We make our world significant by the courage of our questions, and by the depth of our answers." ― Carl Sagan These are my wishes for 2013, based upon an excerpt from Carl Sagan's book : "A pale blue dot" (read by C.S himself) Everything was made in cinema 4D R13 : modeling, texturing with bodypaint, rendering ... Also used photoshop for the textures and after effects for final compositing Editing in Première pro The video is 640*360p because I didn't have much time for the renders, some of them took 2 days (did all this in about 10 days including renders). I'm going to buy a better computer ... Greatly inspired by "the node" of Murat Pak, but ... the road is still long to reach that level of awesomeness : https://vimeo.com/23106251 Music : M83 - Splendor
