Understanding Your Character for Feature Animation In this intensive two-week class , 25 participants developed characters for a short animated piece. Working with NYU acting professor/theatre director, Orlando Pabotoy, students learned to find their characters using professional acting techniques through mask work. Then with the masterful teaching of animation filmmaker Ryan Woodward and Pixar Directing Animator Rob Thompson, students transformed their acting into a strong animated piece for their reels. On this class reel are both acting and animated performances. Congratulations to all for producing such strong work is such a short time!
