For this project, I wanted to use a female character as up to that point I had not used many female rigs. I also wanted to use some dialog that had a bit more emotion. The other two lip syncs I had done were well acted but pretty neutral on emotion. For this project, I wanted to use a female character as up to that point I had not used many female rigs. I also wanted to use some dialog that had a bit more emotion. The other two lip syncs I had done were well acted but pretty neutral on emotion. *UPDATE* I went back and polished a bit of the overlapping action and spent some time creating a scene and lighting it to give the project a better feel. Filmed in Cornwall during July 2008. I found this part of the UK absolutely beautiful with its rugged granite Tors and varied though stunning coastline and wonderful inland parks and open countryside – it’s a Celtic land of great contrast. This footage is a small selection of what was taken over a three day period. Many thanks to Lisa & family for showing me the `hot spots` … a full length version will be created soon. Music by the incredibly talented Thomas Newman … thank you! Thomas Newman c/o Gorfaine/Schwartz Agency 4111 W. Alameda Avenue Suite 509 Burbank, CA 91505 USA

Here's my final project from my summer Motion Media course. The only big requirements were the animation had to represent all four seasons in some manner and each "season" had to have a minimum duration of 5 seconds. Since I'm focusing on character animation, I decided to use the skills and techniques I learned from the course to create a short story. This is my first story-driven 2D creation and it had it's own quirks I had to figure out that usually don't pop up when working in Maya. The characters, props, and scenery were all created with Photoshop and Illustrator. All animation and effects were created using After Effects. Links to the music I used (which also include information on purchasing those works) can be found here: "Background Music" - https://soundcloud.com/royalty-freemusic/background-music "First Love" - http://youtu.be/iiqeEM7JPRo?list=RDHFhRWUHGM8s

Bill Abrahams not only flies these strange UFO look-alikes, he also builds them. Great fun to fly, but there's also a serious side to these cool looking craft as Bill is using them for aerial photography and HD Filming - cool! This quick clip was filmed by Chris Bishop www.hd-visuals.co.uk Many thanks to Bill Abrahams for his demo.

My 9th and final assignment for my character animation course at SCAD. The goal was to show a character showing hesitation in an action. It took quite a while, but I'm very pleased with the result. It's not reel worthy, but it's certainly an improvement from my old animations. In case it is hard to tell the story, the Fishboy sees some food he wants and when he is sure no one is watching he takes it. However, he has a change of conscience and decides to return the fruit against his own desires Fishboy was rigged and designed by Andrew Conroy
