1. Mike & Christie - Proposal

After a week trip down to Bentonville, Arkansas to visit my best friend (I spent 10 years in the south and with me currently living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada I don't get many opportunities to visit my old home). It was the best trip ever and we got back to Toronto on his birthday. Within 5 minutes of getting home on his OWN birthday, he gifted me with a Samsung Galaxy Tablet and when I turned it on it immediately played this animation. :) It was originally a flash animation, so when it asked me the big question it has "Yes" & "No" buttons on the screen. Upon pressing yes, it played the final animation after the fade. Curious to know what happen if I pressed "No", I went back and replayed the animation. I had Michael press no for me, and to my surprise the button moved! I guess he wouldn't take no for an answer :) When I finished with the video he presented me with a teal Birks box and inside the most beautiful ring I have ever seen (picture bottom right). He's truly the sweetest man ever and I am incredibly lucky to have found him. The adorable animation was made by James Lee of www.tarboy.com Music is an edit of Sisters by Plus Plus http://www.myspace.com/plusplus2

A London-based Korean artist penned an open letter to 218,000 employees at Hyundai Motor Group, inviting them to participate in an exhibition, which will be part of a permanent display at HMG’s human resources development center. The journey of the work began as the employees accepted the artist’s invitation and submitted their photographs. Those collected portraits were assembled on a video wall. At a distance, these photographs appear as tiny dots. Participants only can see their faces enlarge in the center of the screen when they log in a smart phone application. Who Am We? examines the subtle boundaries between individual and a group by demonstrating how the identities of individuals are minimized or neglected in a crowd for a greater value. By utilizing digital interaction and inviting employees as an active participant, the project opens up a new space of dialogue, and the employees are naturally led to explore their identity and a sense of belonging in their communities.

On 4th September, Moscow City Day, the capital hosted a unique visual event: Alfa-Show 4D, a magnificent video projection show on Sparrow Hills dedicated to Alfa-Bank’s 20th anniversary. For half an hour, the facade of the main building of Moscow State University became a giant screen 25,500 square metres in size, as a multitude of spectators (nearly 800,000 people who attended the celebration) witnessed a strikingly beautiful audiovisual show. The show was designed by world-renowned director David Atkins, an esteemed public event organiser, and his company, David Atkins Enterprises (DAE). The technical implementation of the show’s visual element was handled by ETC As with their previous works, ETC’s team of professionals used powerful high-intensity Christie 3-chip DLP projectors. A total of 81 projectors were used for the Alfa-Show 4D: a record in today’s video mapping industry. To cover the entire facade, including its lateral surfaces, fifteen Christie Roadie HD+30K projectors with luminous flux intensity of 30,000 NSI lumens and 66 Christie Roadster S+20K projectors with luminous flux intensity of 20,000 ANSI lumens were divided into several groups and installed in towers erected specifically for the show.

One of our latest mapping shows for one of our favorite clients. Audi is a real special brand to work for, with extremely high quality standards so once again we had to do our best effort to match their quality and expectations. Audi inspired us through their innovative and progressive design to reinvent our mapping approach. This time we came up with more layered 3D content, minimizing 3d strokes and applying more shaping, creating special forms to suit the building architecture. We thank BowenChile , our Partners at this production, to trust us with this Project. They helped us understand Audi Philosophy and visualize their expectations. We also thank our new collaborator Carlos Rojas! He is a 3D Champion, and a pleasure to work with. Thanks for all your help in concept design and animation. For the projection we used 8 Christie FULL HD Projectors and Watchout 5 media servers, all connected through fiber optics. The projection size was 60x10meters and the pixels dimension was 6912x1080, almost 7.5 million pixels.
