Ray Bradburys spine-tingling Something Wicked This Way Comes. Helmed by Jack Clayton (director of the classic ghost story The Innocents), with incredible performances by Jonathan Pryce and Jason Robards, and a screenplay penned by Bradbury himself, 1983’s Something Wicked….is one of the darkest films Disney ever produced, and among the few “children’s horror” films that is truly frightening for children and adults alike. Something Wicked…Co-Star Shawn Carson and Editor Barry Gordon for a Q&A after the film!

To kick off the L.A. premiere of their new documentary, "A Band Called Death," Detroit proto-punk rockers DEATH reunited to perform LIVE at the Cinefamily June 28th and 29th. Here they perform the songs, "Keep on Knocking" and "Rock-N-Roll Victim" from their long-unreleased 1974 album, "...For the Whole World to See," which was met with astonished praise upon its belated release in 2009. Before Bad Brains, the Sex Pistols or even the Ramones, there was a band called Death. Punk in attitude, spirit and volume before “punk” existed, these three teenage brothers played a few local gigs in the mid-’70s and even pressed a single in the hopes of getting signed — but in the era of Motown and emerging disco, record companies found both their lightning-in-a-bottle tunes and their intimidating band name too much to handle, and Death disbanded before they’d ever really started. Equal parts electrifying rockumentary and epic family love story, A Band Called Death chronicles the band’s incredible fairy-tale journey, when, decades after breaking up, a dusty vintage demo tape made its way out of the attic and into the ears of a rabid new audience several generations younger. Finally receiving their long overdue recognition as the first black punk band — hell, one of the first punk bands! - See more at: http://www.cinefamily.org/films/a-band-called-death/

Thursday, 3/17 @ 8:00pm LEPRETHON! (Leprechaun 3, Leprechaun 4: In Space & Leprechaun In Da Hood) Around 1992, some genius scribe said to himself, "I love slashers like Freddy and Jason -- but I’m also into little monsters like Gremlins and Ghoulies. Let’s combine the two!" Who that genius was is unimportant; what matters is that one phone call later to dwarf superstar Warwick Davis, and the bold, courageous Leprechaun saga was born. We have this watershed series to thank for the careers of Jennifer Anniston and...well, some other people, but mostly what we take away with us is the killing, the constant harping of "Where's me gold?" and the laughter. In celebration of this timeless franchise, Cinefamily’s got the three best Leprechauns back-to-back: Leprechaun 3, featuring our man terrorizing Las Vegas; Leprechaun 4: In Space, which puts the lil’ guy in the last place you'd ever think to look for him; and lastly, the distinguished pairing of the Lep and Ice-T(!) for our anti-hero’s craziest adventure yet, Leprechaun In Da Hood. And what more perfect of a day to run this madness than that most holy of all holidays: St. Patrick's Day! So bring your shelieghley, grab a green beer and celebrate the holiday like all good Irish folk; by watching a wee-little creep torment and kill an endless cavalcade of greedy jerks! Erin Go Bragh!
