This feature documentary film is about the struggle of working class people in rural America who fight systemic social, legal, and economic prejudice. The American tale of inequality is writ large in the world's most powerful nation where many still believe in the American Dream but fear the change necessary to revive it. The most underprivileged people of rural America are denied basic dignities and equity that results in disastrous entanglements that can only be solved with money. These people, who are conveniently forgotten while they are exploited for votes by a cynical party that in turn does nothing for them, are about to produce a new leader. This film features a 24-year old mother fighting for her child, a number of rural reformers, and a series of journalistic investigations and lessons taught and received by the same mother and her mentor, the film's director, journalist John Farmer de la Torre. Directed, photographed, edited, original songs by John Farmer de la Torre.
