http://leandrocopperfield.blogspot.com/ (Other videos mashups) 10 days, 17 films and 1 tribute. Editor's note: In 10 days I watched again almost all movies of filmmakers (Quentin Tarantino & Joel and Ethan Coen), I selected more than 500 scenes, and had a hard work editing. Leave a comment, suggest new duels. Enjoy. This video was purely non-profit and not Aimed at breaking copyright laws. Editor's note #2: I know that they are different in many ways, this is not necessarily a comparison or "fight". It's just a hommage. Filmlist ... Choose your destiny! Here's a fun mash-up we did to pay homage to two of our favorite things: video games and the Coen brothers. We decided that the Coen brothers movie, The Big Lebowski, would have made an awesome arcade 2D fighter game. And what better games to emulate than two of the genre's best: Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. Thanks to an over-active imagination, we finally get to witness the carnage that only overweight and out-of-shape middle-aged bowlers can create! Hadouken!

This short video-essay examines various themes present in the work of the Coen brothers. While other essays have assembled several recurring visual tropes: elevators, dogs, dream sequences, bathrooms etc., this essay has the characters talk to one another across the films so we can more clearly hear the Coens’ dominant concerns: identity, miscommunication and morality. Taken as a trinity, these elements indicate that the Coens’ true subject is the search for value in a random and amoral universe. The essay is part of a series I am uploading for education purposes and as such, is protected by the Fair Use part of the copyright law of the United States.

Coen Brothers and Roger Deakins has worked together in a lot of films. Here comes a tribute to that work, with some of the greatest shots of their filmography. MUSIC: 'Little Blackie' from True Grit Original Soundtrack and 'Fargo, North Dakota' from Fargo Original Soundtrack, both by Carter Burwell. FILMS: True Grit (2010) A Serious Man (2009) No Country for Old Men (2007) Intolerable Cruelty (2003) The Man Who Wasn't There (2001) O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000) The Big Lebowski (1999) Fargo (1996) Barton Fink (1991) Because of technical issues I couldn't use 'Ladykillers' (2004) and 'The Hudsucker Proxy' (1994) http://javiervirto.tumblr.com/

We caught up with John Turturro at Camerimage to chat about his new film starring, himself, Woody Allen, Vanessa Paradis and Sharon Stone. We were also loaned a camera by Blackmagic. The quality of the image was so good it totally challenged our colourist when matching it to our Sony FS700. We feel he did a grand job.
