It is unknown to viewers what they will experience when they watch the films. This concept represents the exploring portion of going to a film festival.

~ Rev. Dennis Holtschneider, CM (President, DePaul University) ~ Rev. José Morales Orozco, SJ (President, Universidad Iberoamericana--Mexico City, Mexico) This closing World Catholicism Week 2012 discussion addresses a timely issue in higher education. Despite very divergent social, political, and ecclesial histories, there are notable convergences between Catholic universities in the U.S. and Latin America with respect to our student populations and the issues they face. We share a common purpose and a call for deeper and urgently needed transnational solidarity. Some of the topics discussed include the following: how to put the university’s urban setting to work for all of the city’s inhabitants so as to encourage a socially-engaged professional consciousness and greater access to education; how to promote an integrated cultural, religious, and personal identity for all students without regard to religious or ethnic origin; and how to uphold the Christian teaching about the absolute dignity of the human person, in the face of new challenges arising from dire immigration and border challenges.
