He wrote the New York Times bestseller How To Be Black and served for five years as director of digital for the satirical news outlet, The Onion. When he’s not delivering keynote talks at gatherings such as SXSW Interactive, LeWeb, and Personal Democracy Forum, he writes the monthly back page column for Fast Company and contributes to the MIT Media Lab as a director’s fellow. He co-founded the black political blog, Jack and Jill Politics, has advised the Obama White House, has more than 10 years' experience in standup comedy, and more than 30 years' experience being black. He lives in Brooklyn, NY. In an effort to inspire support for the downtown Las Vegas community, CatalystCreativ is excited to announce its enactment of Catalyst Week, a dynamic event series with Zappos founder Tony Hsieh and the Downtown Project. Held every fourth week of the month for 12 months, these engagements will explore strategic partnerships in philanthropy, wellness, music, fashion, education, and technology. Experts from each industry will immerse themselves in the downtown Las Vegas culture as part of this series, exclusively curated by CatalystCreativ. Attendees will be housed at The Ogden, a high-end apartment complex in the heart of Las Vegas, and work remotely from this site each week. Each attendee will also be invited to participate in a Zappos tour, a downtown tour, and become a part of the community, attending dinners hosted by Vegas leaders and spending time at locally-produced events. Additionally, attendees will be asked to give a filmed TED-style talk where they connect with an audience of social influencers and organizers. Learn more about us by visiting catalystcreativ.com.

The world mocks you for your low battery or shoddy service provider. via CultivatedWit (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfP5EK4eXHiPhTpiHpFBZag)

When we joined forces with design and animation studio I Shot Him we weren't going to issue some boring-ass press release. No, sir. Instead, we ordered a Mergetron 9000 and began imagining an entire universe of mergers that could exist as part of #MergerMania.
