Ever since I was a kid, I have always been mesmerized by extraordinary beauty of my hometown, San Diego. The city has many hidden treasures that have always captivated me, and they continue to do so. I wanted to show the city through my own eyes and artistic vision. I wanted to showcase San Diego from the eyes of somebody who has lived there their entire life. I have been working on this piece for about four months to really harness the details and create a visually striking Timelapse film. I wanted to make something that was unique to my own perspective of filmmaking. I also wanted to create something that I could look back and see all of the places I used to go. This timelapse was shot using the Canon 5D Mark 2 and the Dynamic Perception Dolly rig that I have been beta testing for the past couple weeks. I'm really enjoying the system as its light enough for one person to carry around and setup. This was also the first time I have used any type of motion in any of my timelapse shots. The lenses used were the Canon 24mm f1.4L II, Sigma 20mm f1.8, Zeiss 35mm f2, Zeiss 50mm f1.4 and the Zeiss 85mm f1.4 The track that was used is "528491" from the "Inception" soundtrack.+ More details

www.charleyvoorhis.com I've been shooting with the Canon 7D for about a year and I've been loving it. Though it does have some disadvantages, this camera can shoot beautiful video. Most of the images you'll see in this video are shot with artistic documentation in mind, and others are shots for clients and promotion. I shot my time-lapse on a homemade timelapse dolly that I made for about $40. Here is a link to my first prototype. http://www.leavenworthvideo.com/TRIHOUSE/handmadetimelapse.html Hope you enjoy what I've been up to this last year. Happy New Year!+ More details
