New Album THE DEEPEST LAKE - iTunes: http://bit.ly/1y1xdcM Amazon: http://amzn.to/14BoqGb Dengue Fever Store: http://bit.ly/1y2abpH "Rom Say Sok" is the second featured music video from DENGUE FEVER's latest release, THE DEEPEST LAKE, and features fully harmonized vocals from Zac & Nimol. The song tells the tale of a legendary Khmer woman, who was teased about her very long, magical hair. When her enemies sent torrential rains and a giant alligator to destroy her, she used her hair to dry up all of the water and kill the alligator. It's also about another magical contemporary Khmer woman, a friend of ours in Cambodia who was teased as a child for her unique and wild hair, but who has risen above all of that to become a very talented artist and a lovely human being. • Riding Along With: The Singer of Dengue Fever, Chhom Nimol

            from Voice Media Group Added

Before she became the lead singer of the internationally known rock band Dengue Fever, Chhom Nimol lived in a gritty neighborhood most people in Long Beach (not to mention the rest of Southern California) might not realize even exists. It's called Cambodia Town and it boasts the largest population of Cambodians outside Southeast Asia and France. The neighborhood is easy to miss, stretching along the north side of Anaheim Street between Atlantic and Junipero Aves. With the recent release of the band's fifth album, the wonderfully moody and psychedelic The Deepest Lake--which finds the band at the height of their songwriting and performing prowess--we figured it'd be a great time to check out Nimol's old haunts. Reporting by Nick Schou, filming and editing by Taylor Hamby. Purchase tracks from Dengue Fever's newest albums here: http://www.amazon.com/The-Deepest-Lake-Dengue-Fever/dp/B00OZ8XHQC

                from GREENSTRIKE Added

Stop trying to catch mosquitoes. Prevent them! GREENSTRIKE's Mosquito Preventer featuring Zero-Hatch Technology helps to control potentially deadly mosquito populations by eliminating mosquito eggs to drastically reduce future populations of mosquitoes. The Mosquito Preventer also helps to reduce the risk of contracting deadly diseases by targeting mosquitoes that can carry West Nile Virus, Chikungunya Virus, Dengue Fever and Yellow Fever. No propane, pesticides or toxins, the Mosquito Preventer replicates a pond like environment to encourage the biting female mosquito to lay their eggs within the unit. The patented Zero-Hatch Technology then separates the mosquito eggs from water, killing the "future" mosquitoes and letting you enjoy your backyard - mosquito free!

                    from Chris G. Parkhurst Added 66 0 0

During the Cambodian New Year 2014, Chhom Nimol, came up to Portland to perform and celebrate with The Bayon Band. The 'Elvis of Cambodia' crew was there and we were able to spend some time talking with Nimol about Cambodian music, Sinn Sisamouth, influences, etc. 'Elvis of Cambodia: The Sinn Sisamouth Story' is a documentary that examines the power of a legend and his legacy years after his execution at the hands of the Khmer Rouge, during the Cambodian genocide. With the beauty of his golden voice and sincerity of his music he is still able to deeply move many generations of people and connect a dispersed community of Khmers worldwide. We will recall the glorious and vibrant Cambodia of yesteryear and how it is being honoured today by those who are reinvigorating the arts to propel Cambodia to a better future. 'Elvis of Cambodia' needs your help. Please consider contributing to our Kickstarter campaign today: http://kck.st/X4YwaQ
