1. Dick Smith Store Induction Video v1.05

    from Marcus Kennedy Added 26 0 0

This is the store I built for our Client, based on one of their new Sydney stores. I built most things in the scene except a few of the more complex electronic devices. All the shelves, installations, desks, lighting, fixtures as well as the majority of texturing was done by me. Took me about a week to build and place everything, about a week of texturing and well over a week to light and render for this video and there are still more renders to be done for some of the training modules we're getting up for them in the next couple of months. 3DS Max 2012 (Mental Ray) Adobe Photoshop CS5

Some of our most serious global challenges revolve around energy – controlling it, paying for it and the consequences of burning it. As both one of the world’s biggest per capita users and exporters of fossil fuels, Australia is sure to be deeply affected by the radical changes coming down the energy pipeline. Yet there is a lot of confusion around the subject. Self-confessed fossil fuel junkie Dick Smith will try to separate the facts from the hot air. What are Australia’s options as we enter the age of energy disruption?

      • Banned Dick Smith Australia Day Commercial

        from Adpressive Added 1,627 2 0

Australian entrepreneur Dick Smith apparently had his controversial Australia Day commercial banned from airing on television presumably due to the use of the word Dick. The commercial features Dick Smith in offensive scenes with asylum seekers and people saying things like, "there's only one Dick I'll be eating on Australia Day" or "chow down on my OzeNuts", in reference to peanut butter. What do you think? Should this be banned from television?

"Roll Call - State of Electronics" is my latest Preview release of my upcoming documentary about the History and "State" of the Electronics Industry in Australia. Although it is very much centred around the Australian Electronics Industry, I think much of it will not only sound familiar to people in other parts of the world but resonate loudly with them. In this Preview entitled "Roll Call", the Cast from my documentary have the opportunity to introduce themselves and tell us a bit about what they do. It's not meant to be a traditional trailer but rather "Extra Material" that will not appear in the final documentary.
