It is the one work of God in the world--the one redeeming work of God in the world through Christ is the establishing and building of the church. We started in Matthew where Jesus said, "I will build My church and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it." We love the church and we want the church to be the church in terms of its biblical definition. The church, as we have learned, is chosen by God. It is a gathering of people who confess Jesus as Lord, who come together to worship God, to worship Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit....
