1. The Shattered Stained Glass [Cryptic Cut]

    from Jonathan Harnisch / Added

The Shattered Stained Glass is an experimental film about my schizophrenic experiences in 2009-2010 with some deleted scenes in full original uncut HD included on a separate file. More to come from Jonathan Harnisch and Porcelain Utopia. Dedicated to my wife, Maureen Cooke-Harnisch Special thank you to the schizophrenic condition for giving this project to me. *Caution: Hard to watch with intense edits as my attempt was to mirror personal experiences with psychosis, adding special effects, both video and audio alterations. Many of my own opinions stated in the above footage have been changed for the better, thank God, thus I no longer believe them today as I continue resilient recovery and participation in my ongoing treatments for this illness with its related disorders and the present circumstances in my life. Sincerely, Jonathan Harnisch

Hey Muscians!! Here is a talk I recorded on March 5, 2010 with Martin Atkins, founder of Pigface and Invisible Records, Drummer for PiL, Nine Inch Nails, Murder Inc., and more. This talk is half standup comedy routine and half practical advise from experience about what you should do to succeed as a band. Includes such advice as "Don't be an Asshole," "Free is the new black," increase your skills set, stay on top of technology, go to Starbucks to find people to convince to come to your show, get a good mix from the sound guy by buying him an espresso and rolling him a joint, and much, much more. Martin has written a book on this very topic. http://www.amazon.com/Tour-Smart-Break-Martin-Atkins/dp/0979731305

Beginning with an exploration of dimensionality and interplay between auditory and visual perception in media systems, we will examine how we perceive spatial audio and how 3D audio can enhance visuo-spatial perception. We will highlight unique, 3D graphics-driven and scalable rendering aspects of the immersive audio sound server developed for Cornea and Starcave environments and their potential adoption in other cutting-edge, immersive media systems. An overview with examples and demonstrations of techniques employed in KAUST and CalIT2 vizualization and spatial audio laboratories will be presented, with examples of usage shown in Cornea, MPR and Showcase. New techniques in 3D audio imaging using binaural and array techniques will be presented. Research and collaborative topics of interest to advanced students will be discussed, with the aim of stimulating interest among KAUST students for participation in 3D audio research at KAUST and UCSD/CalIT2. Students will become conversant in fundamental and new techniques used to create audio for VR, games, multimedia, communications and sonification.
