‘The Dark Clouds’ is a contemporary folk band that brings to life stories from the past through its music. ‘Song for Isabella’ is based on a true account of pioneering woman, Isabella Price. This video won The Dark Clouds the Best Music Clip at the 2015 Film and Music Entertainment (FAME) Awards, held in Port Lincoln. Thank you to the 27 generous, enthusiastic people in the Port Lincoln area who supported us with our film clip. They allowed us to film on five properties, use their horses and props, and supplied their talent in acting. A local historian helped with researching the story of Isabella. More on her story here - https://open.abc.net.au/explore/97816 The Dark Cloud's first album ‘A Moment in Time’ will be released in July 2015. Exciting times are ahead. ‘The Dark Cloud’ band members: Lisa Webster (Vocals/songwriter), Gary Webster (music arranger), Benita Doughty and Ben Christensen Music producer: Pete Mihalaras Film clip co-producer: cameraman Tim Hodgson

      • Making melting moments: time-lapse

When it comes to making melting moments (biscuits/cookies), Kristy McFarlane is a dab hand. She's a professional baker in town and runs her own private business Sugar Daisy Cakes from her own home, where she's set up a professional kitchen. Melting moments is one of her most frequently asked for foods. When it comes to being able to film, it's so easy to do it on your phone these days. With the new updates to iPhones, it's possible to shoot time-lapse by simply selecting that mode in your camera app. I worked with my local ABC Open Producer Emma Pedler to learn how to shoot and edit this video on my iphone. The music we used for this piece we sourced from Free Music Archive. It's a track called 'fab cushion' by Martinibomb. We didn't use the whole track, we just faded it towards the ending. Find the whole track online here: http://freemusicarchive.org/music/Martinibomb/20150511162301247/csr016_02_martinibomb_-_fab-cushion_1689

A few weeks back a couple of mates and myself were in Coffin Bay fishing. Throughout the week we fished both from the boat (Yiros) and off the beach. We had some really good days catching the small stuff and our fair share of Rays but our struggle to catch that elusive Snapper was oh so real!! So here's a clip i put together reliving the week that was Coffin Bay 2015...enjoy!
