Taking the Walkera TALI h500 for a spin on the Golf Course. The TALI is Walkeras new semi-pro hexa platform, it is designed for the Sony RX100, and will be available with a 3axis RX100 gimbal from the beginning of Sep 2014. fully loaded, the RTF TALI do pretty much what people get by adding a bunch of upgrades to the Phantom, it is compatible to a FW550 in terms of capacity and utilize a APM flight controller. the APM is ok, but I think there is better flight-controllers out there. still a RTF out of the box aircraft with a RX100 3axis gimbal for less than $2000 is pretty amazing considering what these things used to cost. This was the first flight, I did a POV camera to show the gimbal operation, flying the TALI with FPV goggles is a bit hard because the camera is dampened and you don't feel the corrections right away in the video. I suggest installing a dedicated hard-mount flight camera for FPV operations.

APRIL Month - This video was entered in the ImmersionRC contest, please take a moment to vote for it. :-) http://www.immersionrc.com/video-submissions.php Trona Pinnacles, like chiseled in rocks, is one of natures breathtaking monuments of days bygone. Formerly ocean bottom, now amazing seemingly random pinnacle spires pointing to the sky from the desert landscape. The unusual landscape, located in Searles Lake, consists of more than 500 tufa spires (porous rock formed as a deposit when springs interact with other bodies of water) (Wiki) Spectacular Sunset Aerial video captured with my flying camcorder. 1080p stock video available. The GoPro4 looks better after hours than the GoPro3 did, however Im not convinced its technically "better" the image is also muddier, and I suspect the new twice as powerful processor, is being used to apply noise filters on a GoPro3 sensor ? Ok I don't know for sure. but the sensor itself, don't look really different, there are not really much more shadow details or other signs of a significantly better sensor.. just better post-processing in the camera. But hey, I will take what I can get. For the impatient.. Moneyshot at 3:50 enjoy Stay in touch and subscribe to my YT at https://www.youtube.com/user/bophoto?sub_confirmation=1

Taking the new STELLA gimbal from xAircraft for a quick flight, The gimbal is top-mounted on my mini hex. Uniquely, the stella come with its setup-app ON the gimbal, simply plug the USB cable into your PC and STELLA will launch as a memory stick, double click on the STELLA app in the folder. For more on the STELLA gimbal - check out my un-box power-up review here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ktW-NjutFk Video captured as 2.7k cine, I post processed it by d-fishing to remove the fisheye look and then applied 4% pan stabilization using Mercalli, there is no horizontal or vertical stabilization. Im just letting mercalli smooth out the yaw moves. I got the xAircraft STELLA from http://xaircraftamerica.com/collections/all/products/stella-2-axis-brushless-gimbal

Just finished building the BlackOut Mini H Quad. Sorry about the rough flying, this thing is so quick on the stick, Im still getting used to flying it. Feels just like coming from a old pickup truck with sloppy steering and hopping into a track-ready cooper mini.. Think left and the quad is already rolling and yawing left. woohoooo. The quad is a blast to fly, and because of its rugged design and small size, might be the perfect hiking accessory or even for trips.. particularly if you remove the props, you can drop this into a backpack and feel good about it. The Mini-H is small, REALLY SMALL, 220mm diagonal on the motors, weigh 330grams ready to fly (depth I just changed to try the Mobius as flight camera and now mine weigh 350grams all up). It use 2S batteries 1000mah or 1500mah CC3D flight controller VTX ImmersionRC 600mw 5.8G Flying it with Devo6 (I love how that radio fits in my hands and is just big enough to do the job comfortably) with Devo RX702 receiver with the long antenna dongles. www.FPVguy.com www.minihquad.com

had a great fun evening flight, well a bunch of flights, 9 batteries worth. While in the air I heard the train tooting and headed over to take a closer look. a move I almost regretted when realizing I was flying against the wind on the way back.. ha ha. Gotta say I love my mini-hexa. I have had more fun with the hexa than virtually any of my other multicopter platforms.
