Fed Square was transformed into an island-dotted seascape this school holidays with a new project by one of Melbourne's best children's theatre organisations, Polyglot Theatre. http://www.polyglot.org.au Boats allowed children to use colourful vessels in playful and interactive activities exploring ideas of migration and adventure. “Boats is part roving, part play space for kids of all ages. We have been collaborating with Papermoon Theatre to explore the rich culture and contrast of Indonesian communities, as well as working with kids in Melbourne’s west to interpret their experiences of migration and sea-faring. It has been a revealing project that is fun, adventurous, and topical – children see and hear everything. It’s been great to explore what they know.” - Sue Giles, Polyglot Theatre Artistic Director Commissioned by Fed Square's Creative Program. http://fedsquare.com/about/our-program/creative-program
