CAPTAINS OF LIGHT -- An Audio Visual Performance `Captains of Light' is an audio and visual performance of multi-disiplinary collaboration of sound artists, musicians, visual artists and architects. Dazzling display of images will project onto the facade of Suffolk House, each performance will articulate the house's architectural language into a symphony of visual and music with its own distinctive style and cultural flavour. Architecture tranforms into a 3D screen where visuals of ranging mediums; from 3D graphics, 2D animation to live video, will be mixed and performed live. `Satu Hari: Penang’ by RAINF x FAUZI YUSOFF Bustling street scenes, night markets, traditional trades and heritage architecture within George Town, are vibrantly presented in this collaborative piece. The energy of the tradition burst onto Suffolk House façade to conjure a sense of familiarity yet with a new spin. Traditional music inspired beats are juxtaposed with image composite of the old and new to create an unmistakably Penang flavour. The stars are brightly shining, It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth. Long lay the world in sin and error pining. Till He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth. A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices, For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn. Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices! Oh night divine, the night when Christ was born; Oh night, Oh Holy Night , Oh night divine! Oh night, Oh Holy Night , Oh night divine! Led by the light of faith serenely beaming, With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand. O'er the world a star is sweetly gleaming, Now come the wisemen from out of the Orient land. The King of kings lay thus lowly manger; In all our trials born to be our friends. He knows our need, our weakness is no stranger, Behold your King! Before him lowly bend! Behold your King! Before him lowly bend! Truly He taught us to love one another, His law is love and His gospel is peace. Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother. And in his name all oppression shall cease. Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we, With all our hearts we praise His holy name. Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we, His power and glory ever more proclaim! His power and glory ever more proclaim! www.excelenciadigital.com+ More details

http://www.mahalstyle.com/?p=1695 Last weekend's 2nd Annual La Jolla Fashion Film Festival has left a lasting impression on the Mahal Style team. The cinematography, styling and beauty of each film left the team exceedingly inspired. One of our favorite films, Eienesis - In search of Light by Miguel Ángel Font Bisier captures the drama of fashion and the imagination of film brilliantly. We caught up with the director during the festival to find out more about his work. Be sure to check out the rest of our coverage of LJFFF here: Cinema Couture.
