Directed by Mauricio Baiocchi http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0047821/ Narrated by Stephen Fry http://stephenfry.com/ Music by Jesse Solomon Clark http://agentsdelfuturo.com/ "Cicada is a gift for one person and the world at the same time. I had thought that a gesture of kindness and love if made just right would resonate itself into many more such acts." -Mauricio Baiocchi, director Contact Mauricio Baiocchi---> info@cicadaprincess.com http://www.cicadaprincess.com/ Check out this Behind The Scenes of the scoring sessions: https://vimeo.com/60517269 While Cicada Princess was still in production, I started composing some themes based on the story. I visited the set a few times, so I had an idea about the look of film. I probably had a feature film's worth of music for this short. Once there was a locked edit it became clear that, although the story is kind of epic and operatic in scale, the score needed to provide a thread to tie together the quickly-moving story together. "Assassin Richard Perch is manipulated into saving the life of his handler." Back in 2007 we created a film called RETRIBUTION for an IFC sponsored short film contest for the video game "Assassin's Creed". We placed second in the competition and received airplay on IFC as well as $2,500 for a prize. In 2008, we decided to shoot a sequel to RETRIBUTION called PIPELINE. We took the $2,500 winnings and produced the film you see here. I'm extremely grateful to everyone who contributed. This film was awarded the first ever ZACUTO AWARD.

Filmmaker and Anthropologist Niobe Thompson teamed up with Composer Darren Fung to create a magnificent musical score for the upcoming CBC series The Great Human Odyssey. In an era when live-recorded orchestral scores are a dying breed, Thompson and Fung brought the Edmonton Symphony and ProCoro Canada to one of North America's premiere acoustic spaces: Edmonton's Winspear Centre. Over three days, over 70 classical musicians and a large team of sound recording engineers recorded a remarkable score, capped with a sold-out public performance. See what happened! The three-part series THE GREAT HUMAN ODYSSEY premiered in Canada on CBC-TV in February 2015, and will broadcast on PBS NOVA in the USA and around the world on major broadcasters later this year. Thirty years after "Koyaanisqatsi," Godfrey Reggio—with the support of Philip Glass and Jon Kane—once again leapfrogs over earthbound filmmakers and creates another stunning, wordless portrait of modern life. Presented by Steven Soderbergh in stunning black and white 4K digital projection, "Visitors" reveals humanity's trancelike relationship with technology, which, when commandeered by extreme emotional states, produces massive effects far beyond the human species. The film is visceral, offering the audience an experience beyond information about the moment in which we live. Comprised of only seventy-four shots, "Visitors" takes viewers on a journey to the moon and back to confront them with themselves. A Cinedigm release coming soon to theaters. DOWNLOAD THIS MUSIC: http://trustmusic.com/florianbador https://florianbador.com . . I composed this music video to remind us the true point in life. It is a symphonic composition with choirs, piano and orchestra (violins, cellos and other strings, along with oboe, horn and other brass instruments) This soundtrack is dedicated to the children of the world. The goal is to highlight the poverty and injustice of the world in an artistic manner, because sometimes, where you were born matters. This HD video is a travel through nature and human beings. I made it like a trailer with some black & white and time lapse using the Linux software kdenlive. I also made shoots with my Canon EOS camera. The true point of life is not our iPhone, iPad, Pepsi or Coca-Cola... I wanted a subtle religious / divine / god color for this piece of music because as Henry Ward Beecher said, Children are the hands by which we take hold of heaven. It is the real meaning of "Solemn" Lullaby., a Lullaby to wake us up! I hope you'll enjoy listening to it! - Florian Bador - film music composer - Santa Monica / Culver CIty (Los Angeles, California)

This is my homage to the classic and hugely influential sci-fi anime film, Ghost In The Shell. I wanted to capture the overarching atmosphere of what I think the story conveys; retain the feel of the original but create something totally new. The rising glissandi of the strings portray the tension of Major Motoko Kusanagi's pursuit of the Puppet Master . The vocals are occasionally processed through filters and distortion boxes to underscore the power and profound change bestowed upon Kusanagi. The gong dipped into a water bath is her baptism and metamorphosis from a human into a fully cybernetic being.
