        The legend that is Charles Metcalfe gave us 5 minutes to tell us where he's heading in the wine aisles right now. He's with plenty of others in turning to Spain and Fino or Manzanilla sherries. Lots of people are starting to drink sherry with food. If in doubt, try it at your local Spanish restaurant, but make sure the bottle hasn't been open for too long - more than a few days and it begins to oxidise and will taste musky. Charles has a cheap Vihno Verde to plug as well - its available from Majestic and we've seen it on The Wine Society's list too: Quinta De Azevedo Charles writes a lot about Spain and Portugal, so its no wonder that he followed our lead for choosing the wines of Vinho Verde this summer.
