Jeff Doolittle - The world around us offers a multitude of options when it comes to who we should follow, what we should invest our lives in, and where we should look for our significance and salvation. However, the book of Hebrews aims to show its reader that Jesus is better than any other option the world can offer. Both in His person and in His work on the cross, Jesus offers what no other person or system of belief can, and that is peace with God and the forgiveness of sin. This book provides a passionate plea for the believer to persevere in their faith in Christ amidst potential struggles with doubt and disbelief.+ More details
Sam Freshwater - Throughout the Bible, two of the most distinguishing marks of Christ's followers are truth and love. There are dozens and dozens of commands in the Bible for God's people to be a people of truth and a people of love. However, our culture is notorious for polarizing the two. Over the centuries, the church has struggled in swinging the pendulum from one extreme to another – either all truth and no love, or all love and no truth. Thankfully, the four short letters of 1, 2, 3 John and Jude show us the importance of a being a people of both. These books seek to teach us that biblical truth and love should be inseparable in the life of a believer, and that the very nature of the gospel is to bring about an abiding devotion in each.+ More details
When You Just Don’t Have Enough I hope you have enjoyed this series as much as I have. Studying the miracles in John has been so exciting for me personally. I have read them so many times before, but never really stopped to study each miracle in depth like this. Of the 7 miracles we are going to look at, I believe the one we are going to dissect this Sunday is probably the most relevant for us today. "An entirely new and refreshing take on the zombie genre...directed with a delicate and gentle hand, Followed is probably the most unexpected horror surprise I’ve seen in quite a while." - Ain't it Cool News.com "[Followed] redefines the undead as social waste, returning the genre to progressive social commentary." - Fotogramas Magazine (Spain) "Kicklighter fashions a complex narrative using [Will] McIntosh’s fine writing as its foundation. Followed stays with you." - Jonathan W. Hickman, The Daily Film Fix/Rotten Tomatoes Critic "A delectable short film with a stellar cast that ignites the story with a human touch. Everything from the first scene swooping over the lavish stage of a unifying rally, to the endingʻs most endearing moments, Kicklighter provides a rich visual story that complements McIntosh’s intelligent short." - James Stanford, This Coast Magazine "A social commentary that could mean 100 different kinds of injustice to 100 different spectators." - Sean Windham, IMDb User Based on the story by 2010 Hugo-winning writer Will McIntosh, Followed is a socially conscious monster movie in which zombies symbolize society's disadvantaged and oppressed.
