The story of Oedipus, in 8 minutes, performed by vegetables, in the tradition of Ben Hur. A sword and salad epic, in classic CinemaScope. Featuring a Potato, a Tomato, Broccoli, Garlic, and Billy Dee Williams as the Bartender. The film took two years, a volunteer crew of more than 100 people, and post production resources donated by Industrial Light + Magic and Skywalker Sound. One of the first stop-motion films shot on a digital still camera (the technology was so new, the Corpse Bride crew stopped by to study our setup). Official Selection: 70+ film festivals on nearly every continent, including Sundance (World Premiere), Seattle (Audience Award), São Paulo, Rome, and Hong Kong. Currently playing on the Sundance Channel and Virgin America Airlines. ...you can also watch the behind-the-scenes documentary: http://vimeo.com/19151071 ...and see the storyboards: http://vimeo.com/19151003 ...oh! and visit http://www.wishnow.com for even more...

Find us on Facebook and Twitter: facebook.com/eatourfeelingsyum | twitter.com/eatourfeelings For recipes, scroll down or visit www.eatourfeelings.com. EPISODES: Heartbreakers (vimeo.com/eatourfeelings/heartbreakers), Brunch (vimeo.com/eatourfeelings/brunch), Valentine's Day (vimeo.com/eatourfeelings/valentine), Cleanse (vimeo.com/eatourfeelings/cleanse) RECIPES: Sasha's Grilled Goat Cheese with Lemon Garlic Tomatoes and Avocado INGREDIENTS • 4 slices Country white bread • 1/2 avocado, sliced. • 1/2 lemon, juiced • 1 beefsteak tomato, sliced • 4 cloves garlic, minced DIRECTIONS 1. Heat up olive oil over low to medium heat. Add garlic and sautee for a couple of minutes until soft. Take care not to burn the garlic because the taste will turn from sweet to bitter. Add the lemon juice, stir, then add your tomato slices. Cook the tomatoes for a couple of minutes on each side. You want them to get soft but not so soft that they are falling apart. Set aside, pouring most of the garlic lemon sauce over them to marinate but leaving some in the pan for grilling the sandwiches. 2. Assemble the sandwiches, making sure to include some garlic lemon sauce when adding the tomatoes. 3. Grill the sandwiches over medium heat. You may need to add more olive oil to the pan. I like to put some heavy jars or another pan on top of the sandwich to press it down while grilling. Grill for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. 4. Eat immediately. Emma's Roasted Red Pepper and Sweet Potato Soup (vegan) INGREDIENTS • 2 red bell peppers • olive oil • 2 carrots, medium dice • 3 stalks celery, medium dice • 1 medium sweet potato, peeled, medium dice • 1 medium yellow onion, medium dice • 4 cloves garlic, minced • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika • 1/2 tsp coriander • 6 cups, vegetable stock • 1/4 cup cashew meal • salt, to taste • zest of 1/2 lemon DIRECTIONS 1. At 400, roast peppers until the skin has blackened (about 45 min-1 hour). Cover peppers to steam for about 20 minutes. Discard skin and seeds. Roughly chop pepper. 2. Over medium-high heat, sauté onion, celery, carrots until soft (about 5 minutes). Stir in sweet potato, pepper, and garlic, and cook for about 2 minutes. Add spices. 3. Add vegetable stock, and bring to a simmer. Add cashew meal and salt, to taste. Simmer on low for about 20 minutes. Stir in lemon zest. 4. Blend until completely smooth. Serve. An experimental film in which we where curious about the forms and shapes food makes when you flatten them. After that we composited different parts of the video and each gave them a separate time span so we could edit on the music. This is the second Simultaneous capture edited video! Initial Concept and Editing: LCF (Iain) This was born from a project I devised to celebrate Vimeo's 250MB upload limit and also just for fun to see what would happen: Forum: http://www.vimeo.com/forums/topic:934 Final Clip: http://www.vimeo.com/clip:132737 All clips: http://www.vimeo.com/tag:worldinaminute From here I suggested we all capture video, not at one time around the world, but instantaneously around the world. Forum: http://www.vimeo.com/forums/topic:978 DJP also had this revelation from my idea and proposed we do this, to celebrate vimeo's second birthday Forum: http://www.vimeo.com/forums/topic:979 Final Clip: (this page) All clips: http://www.vimeo.com/tag:vimeo2simcap This final project has it's own forum! http://www.vimeo.com/forums/topic:1133 Thank you to everyone who participated from around the world, from Sydney to New York, London to Germany, Brazil to Arizonia - we covered many many places! Apologies to a few people whose clips aren't in the montage - generally certain formats of WMV (ie ASF) wouldn't convert in Final Cut Pro, meaning I couldn't add it to the final montage - they were great clips though which annoys me even more hehe! This clip took 10 - 14 hours to render (clips had to be resized, retimed etc for 4:3 PAL Final Cut Pro sequence) two large storyboards and two hours of trimming and editing to complete. I hope you enjoy the final result! I have to say, watching this clip through makes me feel really good about the world and humanity - with all the wars and mayhem happening right now, to me, this is kind of a beacon of hope - that it doesn't matter where we are in the world or who we are, some of us can all get along and make great things such as this on Vimeo :D

Hailed as the “godfather of Brooklyn pizza,” for forty five years Domenico DeMarco, Italian émigré and father of seven, has been slinging pizzas in his legendary corner shop, Di Fara. Employing five of his children, Dom works tirelessly from morning until night hand crafting each and every pizza himself while his kids take orders and manage the mob of devoted pizza aficionados. The Best Thing I Ever Done is a portrait of DeMarco and his beloved pizzeria, an exploration of his rise to fame and an ode to pizzaioli who take their time to 'make it right.'

Built from an old Renault Garage in the center of Paris, near Place de la Bastille, Alain Ducasse's new chocolate factory was created with the willingness to get back to the roots of chocolate making : a careful, slow and patient work, craftsmanship and machines being as one. This short film gives us a vision of chocolate like we never see it, rough and sensual at the same time.
