'100 Flowers' documents the new collection of art curated by Clare Phillips on behalf of Ginkgo Projects for NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde's new South Glasgow University Hospital and Royal Hospital for Sick Children. Over 70 artists contributed by making new works for the collection which is installed across the new buildings. Graham Fagen, James Winnett and collaborators Hanna Tuulikki and Alec Finlay each made a series of ten works; thirty works were selected through Open Competition; thirty works were selected from work by people who participated in artists' residencies (through Art in Hospitals, Plantation Productions and with Gorbals Youth Cafe). Ten existing works were purchased from artists and galleries. The commissioning of 100 Flowers was supported by a curatorial panel including Glasgow Life, the Hunterian Museum and Gallery, Scottish Natural Heritage, CCA Glasgow, Dalziel+Scullion and Drew Wylie Ltd.

Inspired in part by the opening ceremony for the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, No Conflict, No Irony (I love the whole world) is a work that considers the common ground of sport and the language of abstraction, and brought participants together through the act of making and walking. From Saturday 12 October until Wednesday 16 October 2013, Swedish artist Jacob Dahlgren worked in collaboration with families from across Edinburgh to design and make a 100-metre banner. On Thursday 17 October the banner was walked by collaborators, sportspeople and members of the public, from Meadowbank Sports Centre - host venue of the 1970 and 1986 Commonwealth Games - to Salisbury Crags. Jacob's All Sided Games commission was realised through a period of research and development in August 2013, during which time he also exhibited in Collective's off-site exhibition, Game Changer, at Meadowbank Sports Centre. -- Commissioned by Collective as part of All Sided Games Delivered in partnership with Edinburgh Leisure Funded by The National Lottery through Creative Scotland Courtesy the artist.

'Imagine It' is a young people's short film commissioned by Glasgow Life. Exploring themes of the upcoming Commonwealth Games, hopes and aspirations. Imagine It tells the story of 3 young people who are inspired to fulfill their dreams to be the athletes of tomorrow after a chance encounter with some Glaswegian builders. Working with Mischief La-Bas we ran a series of drama workshops with young people using visual language, music and physical theater to tell a story. Working with a cast of over 20 people it was an amazing process to see the young people( many who have never acted before) develop their acting skills, contribute ideas and the confidence to perform in front of the camera. Screened at the GFT on Saturday 21st September 2013.
