Meadowlark Lino Block Carve and Proof 1 Minute 36 Seconds This video depicts the process of carving and proofing a lino block print. I draw the design directly onto the block. Using simple carving tools I cut out the parts that I want to be light. The result is an image where the uncarved parts are printed. I roll out a water-based ink onto the plate and print a “proof” to see what the image looks like.

'The Black Tent' is a short clip of the 'tran-nak' as pronounced in Tibetan, as a central representation of traditional Tibetan nomadic culture. It acts as a prelude to the visions and goals of 'House of Nomad,' which has been established for the purposes of preserving the values; innovating the lifestyle of Tibetan nomads; and the overall protection of the beautiful environment and ecology of the Tibetan Plateau. The Black Tent which has been the home of the Tibetan nomad for millennia, plays one of the greatest roles in facilitating mobility, the family and tribe, and harmony with the environment. This video offers a glimpse into our future short film and study about the past and contemporary uses and practices of the Tibetan nomadic black tent. This is a GLOBAL NOMAD idea & initiative for the HOUSE OF NOMAD venture. Copyright | House of Nomad www.globalnomad-services.com www.houseofnomad.cn
