This is a film study of my Friend, Nick's, Sketch and Drawing Book factory in Yorkshire, UK. I used the Panasonic Gh2, together with the stock lens 14-140, a Lumix 20mm Pancake 2.8 and a Macro Leica 45mm 2.8. OIS. Magic Bullet Looks and a Glidetrack gave some valuable polish. For the 'head and shoulder to camera interviews" I used the excellent ZOOM H4n and two Rode NTG 1 microphones.

This was the result of a "project in a day" idea that was developed with friends. This is the 2nd such attempt at conceiving, planning, executing and publishing a project all in one day. The pictures were shot on a Nikon D70 and arranged into a stop-motion sequence to make a 'movie'. The sounds are mostly from the same day, recorded within Union Station in Chicago on a Zoom H4n. Sequence was arranged with fx in Apple Motion, sounds were edited and mixed in Logic and Ableton Live. This particular iteration didn't actually make it out in one day but I attempted to take as little time as possible with this, owing to it's somewhat erratic and non-unified feel. In the previous 1-day project, I was working with 2 other friends who were doing photography and video editing. This time around, I did all aspects of the project, so it was a bit heavier on the workload. My apologies to Graham Willcox, whose visual editing style I blatantly ripped off for this sequence.

Signs and Symbols playing their first paid gig at the ANU (Australian National University). This is my second live music video I've shot/edited. Looking back at the footage I've learnt a lot and invested in a shoulder rig. Filmed with a Canon 550D (T2i), Sigma 24-70mm 2.8, Nikon 50mm 1.4, Rode VideoMic, Zoom H4n.

This was my first time to use an audio source other than the mic internal to my t2i.. I just recorded an acoustic melody that I put together in DADGAD, then interspersed some vid of me playing w/ some shots of my kids. The vid of me playing is horrible, but thats ok.. I kind of did it by design to contrast me w/ the kids. I did this in FCP. I am curious the best way to align the external audio w/ the vid.. any suggestions are appreciated. I just had the H4n laying on the ottoman.. pointed in my direction on the stereo setting - I thought it sounded good.
