Marna Lunt is based in the North East of England, on the border of the North Yorkshire Moors where she grew up. Her landscape work is heavily based on the beautiful moors and the colours and textures found dancing in the heather. Marna's work is all hand stitched and painted her alone in her home studio. By handling and loving each element she works on, by using stunning hand dyed & vintage threads and using an eclectic combination of materials she feels a personality and soul emerges in each creation. Marna wants to give you something to treasure, something that you will want to keep forever. A modern day heirloom. http://www.littleadesigns.co.uk

Zoë Hillyard uses the tradition of hand-stitched patchwork as a mending process, her work uses textiles to revive discarded and broken ceramics, creating a new tactile aesthetic for familiar forms. The original surface decoration is replaced by printed textile design as individual fragments are covered with fabric and re-assembled and solely by stitch. Once rebuilt, chips and holes stand testimony to the making process. Exterior surfaces present a subtle textile glaze, whilst interior spaces take on a seductive padded quality with the process of re-construction laid bare. Leaving their original function and mass-produced anonymity behind, each piece becomes a unique decorative vessel with a flawed beauty that is the result of it's material histories to date. Pieces can simply be the result of an interesting combination of unconnected salvaged items. Equally they can be the re-working of imagery, textiles or ceramic possessions which have sentimental value. The making process requires a leap of faith, but results in a fresh new re-incarnation. http://www.zoehillyard.com

from Nico van den Berg Added 569 19 0

American Native is a new company rooted in some old-fashioned ideas. We the founders, brothers Bobby and Clayton Chamberlain, were raised with a tradition of hard work and self-made success. Both of us have training in design, but we sought a more hands-on approach to creating beautiful things. A memorable road trip through the South in the fall of 2011 brought about a renewed sense of patriotism and a desire to make things the traditional way – by hand and heart with attention to quality. In the months that followed, we began experimenting with leather and denim – the bricks and mortar of American style. Today, we continue to explore new products and innovate our methods, all the while providing handmade goods of the highest quality and integrity, all made right here in America. www.americannativegoods.com Directed & Produced By: Mary Kate Shields Director of Photography: Nico van den Berg

Film shot and edited by Mark Kuykendall (The New Honey Shade) "All Is Still As They Disappear" by Bluhm “We wanted to create something special for this project, something psychedelic: something that bridges the gap between the Maps and Diagrams & Atlantis output and Genoveva's previous vocal work. It’s an exploratory, elemental union that includes a significant, immersive and expressive vocal narrative. The overall theme of light and hope is perhaps not so apparent on the first few listens because the vocals are full of hidden mystery. However, its nascent sense of optimism does become apparent the more you listen to it, essentially it’s a journey of hope” (Tim Diagram / Genoveva - September 2012).
