Anti-Semitic attacks against Jewish institutions, shops and individuals in Europe and the US are increasing, aside from in Arab and Muslim countries - and even more so since Israel's Protective Edge Gaza operation against Hamas, the Islamic "Resistance" Movement. Governments and world leaders have expressed dismay over this growing trend with some officials questioning whether the Jewish community even has a future in Europe and other parts of the world. Many attribute the escalating violence against Jewish and Israeli targets, verbal and physical, to the increasing number of Muslims in Europe and the US, and describe it as an opportunity for those who have always been antagonistic to express their anti-Jewish and anti-Zionist positions. Our speakers discussed the causes and effects of modern anti-semitism, and current global efforts to combat Jew-hatred. Professor Robert Wistrich, head of the Hebrew University Sassoon Center for Anti-semitism and the author of "Anti-Semitism - The Longest Hatred" who wrote recently that "extremists on the political far right and far left, along with jihadist immigrants have created a new anti-Semitic climate in Europe." Nadia Ellis, a researcher at the Jewish People Planning Institute with a specialty in European antisemitism and the delegitimization of Israel, who was born and raised in Italy and immigrated to Israel in 2011.

A former U.S. envoy to Israel predicts America and Iran will be at war in 2013. According to The Times of Israel, former United States ambassador to Israel Martin Indyk gave a dire prediction of impending conflict between the US and Iran next year. He said that if a negotiated solution on Iran's nuclear drive cannot be achieved in the next six months, he's "afraid that 2013 is going to be a year in which we're going to have a military confrontation with Iran." The Israeli Jewish population is set to pass 6 million. According to Israel National News, the Jewish population in Israel numbers about 5,978,600 – just 21,400 short of the symbolic six million mark, which it is expected to pass by the end of 2012. Jews make up 75.3% of the total population in Israel. According to information released by Hebrew University, there are 13.75 million Jews in the world today. The Jews in Israel make up 43% of the total Jewish world population. Iran threatens to turn Jerusalem into an Israeli graveyard. According to World Net Daily, Iranian analyst Ali-reza For-gha-ni boasted today that Jerusalem will soon become a mass “graveyard” for the Israeli people. For-gha-ni has previously penned articles that laid out the legal and religious justification for the destruction of Israel and the slaughter of its people, as well as the right of Iran to obtain the nuclear bomb. The Bible says in Jeremiah 23:3: "I myself will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and will bring them back to their pasture, where they will be fruitful and increase in number."
