"The idea began with an article I read in 1998 about a boy who committed suicide after being bullied in school apparently because he was gay. I started researching around this issue and came across Clause 28, a bill passed by the conservative government of Margaret Thatcher, which banned positive representation of gay and lesbian lifestyles to schoolchildren. I felt that this was in direct contradiction to the tolerance so often claimed by and attributed to British society" Don't Look Under the Bed is a short experimental film about intolerance and exclusion from the dominant group for being different. A schoolboy who is found to be enjoying pin-ups of his own gender causes indignation and condemnation from his teacher and also from bullies among his peer group. It raises issues of how the social and educational system can implant feelings of shame and deny an individual's right to develop their own identity. This is the reality of many gay, lesbian and transgender young people continue to experience. As opposed to making a political statement, the film aims to show the very real situation in order to raise the issue for a more generalized debate.

The debate over homosexuality is arguably the most important moral issue of our day. Unfortunately, there isn't much of a debate anymore. Even those who oppose things like "Same Sex Marriage" still hold to views and ideas that undermine the very foundation of their biblical worldview. This video is an introduction to GfBC's Semper Reformanda 2014 DVD dealing with these issues.

Lyrics: Shout Shout Let it all out These are things I can do without Come On I'm talking to you Come on In violent times You shouldn't have to sell your soul In black and white They really really ought to know Those one track minds That took you for a working boy Kiss them goodbye You shouldn't have to jump for joy Shout They gave you life And in return you gave them them hell As cold as ice I hope we live to tell the tale Shout And when you've taken down your guard If I could change your mind I'd really love to break your heart Shout

Christopher Yuan offers some guidance on who the church can better engage Christians who struggle with same-sex attraction. Homosexuality, marriage, and sexual immorality are discussed in David Platt's new book, Counter Culture. Drawing heavily on Scripture and compelling personal accounts from around the world, Platt presents a pointed yet winsome call for readers to faithfully follow Christ in countercultural ways—ways that will prove both costly and rewarding for the contemporary church. Learn more at www.CounterCultureBook.com. Christopher Yuan is a speaker on faith & sexuality, a professor at Moody Bible Institute, the author of Out of a Far Country, and an HIV+ survivor.
