This short form, experimental documentary hovers along the East River, at the Williamsburg Waterfront in Brooklyn, where hundreds of spectators flocked to absorb the electrifying amusements of an approaching super-storm. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT When I set out to film my neighborhood in Williamsburg, Brooklyn the night of the hurricane, I did not anticipate the footage I was about to film. My main objective was to make a short film of whatever I captured that night. But after the explosion, things quickly changed. I now possess a historic piece of footage that shows New York City humbled by the forces of Mother Nature. The same force of nature that many other countries in the world succumb to each year. This film is an emotional response of what it actually felt like to be out in hurricane Sandy, amidst all of her immense energy, while she devastated and consumed parts of ours.

Thousands of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints continue to volunteer to assist in the recovery efforts in communities affected by Hurricane Sandy. On Sunday, November 11th, thousands of these church members cancelled their church services and arrived by air, bus and train from all across the country to help. Although these efforts are organized by the church, anyone and everyone is invited to participate. If you or someone you know needs this help, please call 718-672-2031 or email 2012006@ldschurch.org **update*** I never really imagined this would get such a worldwide response. My original intent was just to create something beautiful that would motivate my other single friends here in NYC to come out and help in the coming weeks. Obviously it's resonated with a much larger group at this point and I am happy to share it with those that find it inspiring. Many have requested a copy that they can show to their own groups across the world. Get in touch with me via my Facebook page (listed below), tell me a little bit about with who and where you would like to share it, and I will be in touch. I don't know if it's right to create art out of this experience, yet. I don't know what the time limit is. But I have created something that I hope people can appreciate. And art always helps. "Eternal Storm" was shot on location in Far Rockaway, Staten Island, Coney Island and Astoria about a week after Hurricane Sandy hit. The intent was simply to create something beautiful out of something disastrous. In a sense, it's a conceptual follow-up to my 2010 short film "Idiot with a Tripod." https://vimeo.com/18312392 Photographed with a Sony FS100 & Canon 7D Lenses were a mix of Zeiss and Nikon Edited with Premiere Pro CS6 Graded with Colorista II "Drug Police" appears courtesy of Moby. Breezy Point took a beating from Hurricane Sandy. Hundreds of homes were lost due to fire and flooding. Yet, 8 months later, there is still a sea of red tape preventing people from rebuilding. Bill A4835B which is the new title for the BSA waiver, was sent down to the assembly and was delivered back to the Governor's desk today. This bill will cut months off the permit process to rebuild and save shareholders thousands of dollars. Call Governor Cuomo 518-474-8390 and demand that no more time is waisted and he signs this bill into law. 8 months is long enough. Please call NY Government Representatives to urge them to cut the red tape and get people back in their homes. Phone numbers listed below. Breezy Point has no protective Dune System.
