Angels From the Realm of Glory is a classic carol written by James Montgomery in 1816. Behind this timeless music is the story of the author’s life. The tragedies he experienced and his fight against slavery led him to a pivotal Christmas eve, when he found new meaning in God’s love for us in Christ. Montgomery expressed God’s vision of mercy and justice in a verse now dropped from the carol. We will rediscover his words, and in the process find new meaning in this season.

            • The Lord is My Shepherd - Sing Along

              from Sally DeFord / Added

Here's a sing-along track for "The Lord is My Shepherd." The melody is included at the bottom of the screen so you can follow along. This particular melody is my own, so it's not the traditional tune you may be used to. Sheet music for this version (both solo and SSATBB choir) can be downloaded free here: http://www.defordmusic.com/the-lord-is-my-shepherd You'll also find a recording there of the song with vocals. The lyrics to this song have been rearranged and altered to fit the melody better. Here's how they appear in this version: The Lord is my shepherd, no want shall I know He leadeth my soul where the still waters flow And safe in green pastures He maketh me rest Restores me when wand'ring, redeems when oppressed Through the valley and shadow of death though I stray Thy rod shall defend me, thy staff be my stay Since thou art my guardian, no evil I fear No harm can befall with my comforter near Thy mercy shall follow me all of my days And in thine own house thou preparest my place With blessings unmeasured my cup runneth o'er Oh what shall I ask of thy providence more (The first two lines of the last stanza are my own as well... could you tell?) Enjoy!

This spot, 1 of 6 in a series was produced in 2008. Shot on location after hours we had the guys at PPI setting lights in one room while we shot in another and zig zag gear to get scenes lit and prepped so we can get out of their offices in time. James Montgomery and Associates have enjoyed a certain celebrity due to the agency saturating the market especially during local high profile sports games.
