              Scott McBride Smith, division director of piano in KU's School of Music, calls the school's new Yamaha Disklavier "the greatest new piano teaching tool in 150 years." The piano's electronic controller records every detail of a performance and plays it all back. During playback, the keys and pedals move. Students and teachers can even slow down rapid passages to reveal fine details of technique.
