fragment of feature film Kochaj i Tańcz (Love and Dance) is a Polish dance movie/romantic comedy. The story begins with a construction worker guy (Mateusz Damiecki) bumping into a woman (Izabella Miko) on her way to an interview to work for a magazine. They soon see each other again as her first assignment is to do a story about dancers and it just happens that he has ambitions to be a dancer. They both get along well and like each other, but she fails to tell him that she has a fiance already and is getting married soon. Interestingly enough, Poles who left their homeland and became famous for acting in English speaking films have two of the leading roles in Kochaj i Tancz. Jacek Koman left Poland in the early 1980s and stared in well-known films such as Moulin Rouge! and Defiance. Although Izabella Miko's early work was in Polish cinema, she has stared in far more American films since then. From Coyote Ugly to Clash of the Titans, Miko is better known for her English language movies. Interestingly enough, before she got into acting she actually was a ballet dancer. director - Bruce Parramore writer - Maciej Kowalewski associate screenplay writers - Bruce Parramore, Renata Frydrych editor - Marcin Kot Bastkowski dop - Bartosz Prokopowicz choreographer - Jarosław Staniek music - Łukasz Targosz producers - Aneta Cebula, Dariusz Gąsiorowski, Izabela Łopuch production - TVN Poland 2009 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1291545/ http://www.filmpolski.pl/fp/index.php/1221519

      • Mężczyzna, który pomylił swoją żonę z kapeluszem - title 3

This is a chapter title video made for stage play by students of PWST Kraków with an artistic supervision by Krzysztof Globisz. The play is titled "The Man, who have mistaken his wife for a hat". It's about various aspects of insanity and it's divided into chapters entitled mainly by the medical names of psychological disorders. My job was to prepare those chapter titles, using talking Francis Bacon's self-portrait. I have used voices of Krzysztof Globisz himself and my 4yo daughter, Zuzia. The lipsync is bad, I know, but I like the whole concept, and the audio - that's why I want to share this.

See http://gardzienice.org for more information. Based on Euripides' Iphigenia at Aulis, originally developed as a theatre production by the Centre for Theatre Practices "Gardzienice" (Ośrodek Praktyk Teatralnych "Gardzienice"), these clips are from the film version produced on location in Greece as part of an expedition to the Corcyran cave. Director's note: A tragedy of feelings and ambitions makes Iphigenia's heroes unusually expressive theatrically and, simultaneously, very contemporary. When we push aside the antiquarian historicity, we shall see characters which seem to have been taken from today's life. The final ritual of sacrifice is an act of blind violence, a coerced sacrifice behind which stands indoctrination, poisonous instigation, a defeat of those strong in words and postures but weak in spirit. Yet -- strangely enough -- it does not hurt. It has become commonplace and cheap. It is outrageous, but still it does not hurt. Even a sacrifice of one's life has become commonplace. In "Iphigenia at A..." what hurts is a family drama; the end of the world of community. No -- rotten politics, sick ambitions, looting instincts, betrayal and lies -- the fatty bait that classical drama uses to lure, and Euripides exploits on a unique scale. Such a theatre, a theatre of intruding compulsions and compulsive intruders who want to "divide and rule" is shown commonly in the media and in the post-modernist theatre every day. They are only harbingers of the end of the world in which home meant home, mercy meant mercy, and fear meant fear. Symptoms of confusion should be looked for in the crisis of the community. Director: Włodzimierz Staniewski Music: Zygmunt Konieczny Cast: Mariusz Gołaj, Krzysztof Globisz, Joanna Holcgreber, Marcin Mrowca, Anna Dąbrowska, Agnieszka Mendel, Karolina Cicha, Esztella Levko, Benedict Hitchins, Maniucha Bikont, Jacek Timingeriu, Maciej Gorczyński, Marie Paskova, and students of the Academy for Theatre Practices
