It took me 6 months of on and off shooting to finish this project. Shooting time lapses is a labor of love and a study in patience. This video is dedicated to the memory of my Grandmother.

Keep on Pushin' represents what skateboarding means to me, it is my way of thanking skateboarding for all that it has given me. Keep On Pushin' is part of REDirect, a celebration of skateboard filmmaking between www.red.com and www.theberrics.com. Showcasing twelve of the most renowned skateboarding filmmakers in the world, each filmmaker had 2 months to shoot and edit a short film about skateboarding. The contestants were kitted with all components needed to shoot on RED. Thank you Berrics and RED for the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing project. Follow me for more of my work and behind the scenes images - Instagram - http://instagram.com/chrispzero | Facebook - http://facebook.com/chrispzero | Twitter - http://twitter.com/chrispzero Above LA is a love letter to Los Angeles and showcases my favorite way to view the city - from above. Whether on a rooftop, a hill, or a mountain, getting above the grind of the city allows you to appreciate it in a new way. Once you get even slightly above, the views and sounds begin to change dramatically. Getting above it all has been instrumental in helping me get to know and appreciate Los Angeles. This piece was produced off and on over the course of two years, and the clips selected for this film are only a small percentage of what I captured during my quest to take in the city from different locations and in new ways. Some of the locations featured are popular and easy to access, others require some searching and hiking, and some are heavily restricted. But I encourage everyone - lifelong Angelenos, transplants, visitors - to hit the trails, drive the mountain roads, find a reason to get on top of a high-rise. From the basin to the valley, this city offers so many opportunities to rise above and look down. Never stop exploring. Check out more info on my blog at http://chrispzero.com/blog/2014/06/12/above-la/ - This film was shot at 5K+ resolution and is rendered in 4K. The 4K version is available on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNw0EgVKZro Interested in licensing clips from this film? These, and hundreds of other time lapse clips, are available directly and in full length in the chrispzero Footage Store at http://store.chrispzero.com All timelapse clips are available in 1080p and 4K resolution. Without your gracious production assistance and support, this film would not have been possible. Thank you! Shot by Gavin Heffernan / www.SunchaserPictures.com. Music: HEAT by Elliot Goldenthal. For pics, news, and tips - LIKE our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/SunchaserPicturesPage Or check out the album of the best Sunchaser Timelapses right here: https://vimeo.com/album/189653. Looking to beef up my Los Angeles timelapses, I rented a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM II Lens from www.BorrowLenses.com and spent September 4th-11th shooting in a series of epic vantage points with two Canon 6Ds. The light of the latest "Supermoon" provided incredible extra definition in the darks of the city panoramas, while also giving some great separation to the skyscrapers. Since we're only 452 days away from the 20th anniversary of one my favorite movies HEAT, I set it to one of the soundtrack songs, an incredible piece of music by Elliot Goldenthal. The cityscapes of HEAT inspired me to make movies long ago, so it was a special treat looking down on LA from some similar angles to the classic Michael Mann film. I finished the edit with a few city captures from previous shoots and here's the result! Motion control shots www.DynamicPerception.com Stage Zero and others using 5K QT Panning. Colored using Ray Dynamic Color aescripts.com/ray-dynamic-color When visiting the BUCK New York back in 2011, Orion Tait casually told me that they where changing the logo. That scared me a bit because I really loved the way it looked, but when he showed me the new designs I thought it was even better. The diversity of geometric shapes within each letter sent my mind racing—giving me the biggest animation playground possible, which is partially why I took it upon myself to animate this new piece. I hope you enjoy it. www.buck.tv Song by: Röyksopp www.royksopp.com - Happy Up Here
