This is the video we shot for "Snowday", a track that appears on the 5 Years of Ad Noiseam compilation. Though we were quite limited with our equipment (Super 8 camera, consumer-grade telecine, Mini DV camera, home-made dolly track) we tried to pull off a special effect for the ending. The long shot where the camera pulls back out of the room is composited from many passes, all timed out manually using a watch a steady pull across our PVC dolly track. There is some incredibly subtle stuff going on in there!

I think it will be a bad year for mosquitoes. There aren't any tadpoles in the frog pond, as it totally dried up last year. I gathered up a few in a light-coloured pot, to better photograph them! This was my grandmother's pot, methinks.

Another short film of the bees flying on a very warm March day. Returning foragers are bringing pollen, nectar and water back to the hive to feed the Queen bee, who is busy laying eggs, and the larvae. The eggs the Queen is laying will be worker bees in 21 days time and at this time of year the colony population is expanding rapidly.
