                  • Spotti Milano presents: Bardi's Bowl Chair by Arper

                    01:17

                    from Spotti Milano Added

Per info e prenotazioni: info@spotti.com t 02 781953 bardisbowlchair.arper.com Coming the 6th of March 2014 at Spotti Milano, the famous Bardi's Bowl Chair, the iconic armchair designed in 1951 by architect Lina Bo Bardi and edited by Arper in a limited edition series. Video directed by Marco Cremascoli, Mindmill productions. Designed during the fifties in Bo Bardi's adopted home of Brazil, the Bowl Chair is an icon of Lina Bo Bardi's adaptive style. Balancing the worlds of industrialized fabrication and the individualized object, Bo Bardi envisioned the Bowl Chair as flexible in structure while universal and essential in form. But, as with all of Bo Bardi's designs, the ultimate emphasis remains on the human interaction with the object. These qualities have brought Arper to get close and become commited to Bardi's Bowl project, deciding to manufacture it industrially. The artisanal nature of the project which was strongly pursued by the architect, has been respected in the choice of producing only 500 pieces. A numbered and limited edition that will not be included in Arper's catalogue. A portion of the profits of the chairs will be donated to the Institute Lina Bo and P.M. Bardi, in support of its activities. Bardi's Bowl Chair is distributed in Italy exclusively by Spotti Milano, starting March 6th 2014. for infos and reservations: info@spotti.com t +39 02 781953 bardisbowlchair.arper.com
