genstep16 is a step-sequencer whith the ability to generate a new arpeggio/note-pattern over time. The variety in velocity and duration gives the device output an organic, hand played feel. Specify a scale (more to come), press the "generate random sequence every 8th bar" and the device will automatically generate a random pattern of which you can adjust the velocity and duration of each note - or you can set the device to randomly generate variety in these two instances with a user-specified interval. Choose between random, staccato, legato and draw to try different play-modes. The latter gives you the opportunity to specify the velocity and duration of each note yourself. The step-sequencer can be downloaded on the Max for Live-forum (link below) and requires Ableton Live and Max for Live installed. http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device/2533/genstep16-an-evolving-step-sequencer

In this video we demonstrate how ( BETA ) Tekh Tonic's "Zenith" controller can be used to play a very wonky sounding bassline along with a beat. ------------------------- Tekh Tonic is a totally unique OSC / MIDI controller that uses the Leap Motion input device. By manipulating the 3D objects with your gesture, Tekh Tonic generates OSC and MIDI data to control your music, visual or interactive software in completely novel ways. ------------------------- Using: - Leap Motion - Tekh Tonic ( Zenith controller ) - Ableton Live - Tekh Map ( Max For Live devices to map the data from Tekh Tonic ) - NI MASSIVE - Upland's Midular Live Quantize ( Max For Live ) open source :: http://upland.no/ Get the Tekh Tonic beta: http://www.ethnotekh.com/software/tekh-tonic/

In this video I demonstrate an application of the "Fling" instrument in our Leap Motion software, Tekh Tonic. It is controlling note generation in our Max For Live OSC patching system, Tekh Map, triggering drums. Both of these tools were in alpha stage for this video. Tekh Tonic is a platform for using the Leap as an OSC/MIDI controller. It contains a number of "instruments" which allows the user to interact with 3D environments that output a number of values that can control audio and visual software in unique ways. Tekh Map is currently in open alpha and can be downloaded here: http://www.ethnotekh.com/software/tekh-map/ Using: - Leap Motion - Tekh Tonic - Ableton Live - Tekh Map - Kontakt 4 /w Tone Hammer Epic Dhol
