      from Shawn Reeder Added 12.9K 427 104

Eternal Spectrum is a collection of dramatic, beautiful timelapse footage gathered as I traveled to some of the most amazing National Parks and locations throughout the American West & New Zealand. I love being out under the stars, watching the moon light up the sky and landscape, the colors of sunrise and sunset, the energy of storms, the magnificence of the sun as it touches the horizon, hiking the trails, climbing the mountains, playing in the ocean, and just getting to experience the awe inspiring beauty of our National Parks and other amazing locations both here & abroad. ~ All footage you see here is available for licensing at 1080p, 4k, 5k, 6k and some footage is even available up to 8k. • Utah in 4K - From the Air

        from Ian Cresswell Added 25.4K 561 102

**Original file has been made avaialble for personal viewing in 4k via Vimeo download link below** Shot in and around Moab, Utah using a custom Skyjib octocopter platform. Video was filmed in 4K and edited in Adobe Premiere. **Please note, we maintain a flight policy to avoid fly directly over anyone. In the few shots containing people who may appear to be standing close to the helicopter/camera, they are not directly under the craft. Also, anyone who appears to be even somewhat close to the helicopter/camera was talked to before hand to ask their permission for us to fly in proximity, as well as to advise them of our desired flight path. I strongly recommend fellow multirotor pilots not to fly over events, crowds, or densely populated urban areas. And if you intend to fly in even remote proximity to a person or persons, make sure they have given express permission and been advised of the flight path.** Octocopter Pilot - Ian Cresswell Octocopter Engineer - Bert McMahan Gimbal Pilot - Tim Harley Ground Station - Owen Herndon Music: "For So Long" by MITIS http://www.mitismusic.com http://www.facebook.com/mitismusic http://www.soundcloud.com/mitis Contact email: videolandscapes@gmail.com

                from Phil Shep Added 125K 649 53

Arguably one of the top mountain bike trails on the planet. Linking up several Moab favourites, this trail spans almost 30 miles and has a cumulative descent of over 8,000 feet. The beauty of this ride is not just the sheer scale of it - but its diversity. Starting in high alpine forest at Burro Pass, the ride transitions to aspens, high desert and finishes off plummeting down to the Colorado River on exposed singletrack. The type of riding if vastly diverse as well: from slow, steep and technical rocky singletrack to wide open high speed sections and everything in between. My first time doing this ride could only be described as 'complete sensory overload' Riders: Chad G, Steve Cooke, Tom Bishop, Adam Simpson and myself. from David Eckenrode Added 245K 547 42

Another story I did for the BBC. Mark Sundeen, the author of book, 'The Man Who Quit Money' is a soulful journey into the spirit of Daniel Suelo. Suelo, gave up on money in 2000. He walked into a phone booth, pulled out 30 dollars and left it. Twelve years later, Suelo still does not have a personal i.d. bank accounts, a modern home, does not take money, or live off of federal welfare. Suelo, lives in caves in the canyon lands outside of Moab, UT. Suelo, harvests wild foods, eats roadkill, and dumpster dives. Suelo, is not an isolationist, he still is very active in the Moab community SE Utah politics and he is an active blogger. Sundeen, knew Suelo from Moab, UT when they both worked together as cooks. But years later Sundeen came across Suelo in a market and payed him no attention. After Sundeen gave thought to the current economy and Suelo's philosophy he was inspired to write about Suelo. Sundeen's book focuses on one man, but the message of the book captures the American zeitgeist of a changing economy. Additional camera and photos Cedar Banks and Mark Sundeen. http://marksundeen.com/ Music: Alfa Kay not this track is a rough sketch of a tune that Mr Alfa Kay is writing for our feature documentary Lasso The Sun. I love this tune. myspace.com/mralfa For further reading check out Daniel Suelo's blog: http://zerocurrency.blogspot.com/ Edited on Fianl Cut Pro 7 with Apple Pro Res then down converted to H264. My Panasonic GH2 and HVX 200 were used for the shooting. I used Driftwood's Mysteron setting on the GH2 in HBR mode.

                  • A Love Letter to Moab - Timelapse

                    from Ron Risman Added 40.7K 123 35

This is a video love letter to Moab, Utah and surrounding area to show my appreciation for how much I love the beauty of her landscapes and the dark skies above. I first visited Moab on a cross country trip with my parents in 1977. I have to admit that back then I had no idea where we were when we were driving by these red rock formations. However, in 1994 I rediscovered Moab and instantly fell in love with this incredible small town, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. I knew I had been there before, and it just felt like home to me. I feel privileged to feel at home in a place as vast and beautiful as Moab. It has been 37 years since my parents first took the family to Arches and Canyonlands, but since rediscovering it as an adult I have been back there 7 times, 5 in the last 3 years, with more trips to come in 2015. This short video was edited to a song that feels like a love letter to this beautiful area. The music, the arrangement, and the lyrics is how I feel when I sit under the dark skies or wander through the red rock canyons and arches. It's trans-formative. It takes you away from the stresses of every day life and truly puts you in touch with nature. I also lead night-sky timelapse workshops in Moab, so please visit www.timelapsemoab.com for more information on the next workshop.
