The 27-mile Park Loop Road is a great way to see Acadia, moving through many of the classic Acadia landscapes from the rocky coast to the bald-topped mountains the island was named for. Along the way is Sand Beach, one of the most popular stops along the road with its white sand and chilly water. Even on a hot day, I am surprised that so many people play in the 55 degree waves. Other stops include Otter Cliffs (one of the highest headlands north of Rio de Janeiro) Jordan Pond House restaurant and Cadillac Mountain. been working on this project for a couple weeks in order to learn the ins and outs of my new favorite editing suite: adobe premiere pro. i had been using final cut pro 7 and was looking forward to the updated final cut pro x, until it was widely panned by the interwebs and it's not necessary to transcode the footage for use in premiere etc, etc. so all the buttons are in a different place and some of the nomenclature is new but after using it for a bit i really prefer it, wicked cool bit of software. i could have kept editing little changes into this, and needed to make a last minute change just before i uploaded which resulted in a little audio glitch- but enough is enough so here ya go: acadia microcosm, shot at jordan stream in acadia national park in maine, usa. have a good one and thanks for looking -nate. musics: Bill Frisell "Monroe"

This is a short nature film about Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine. The idea was to capture what i saw in the four days of staying there. This was shot with a Sony DCR-HC36 Handycam.
