When four becomes two. This was shot with a digital SLR, not as video. It comprises of over 1000 unique images. [I have my own interpretation of this, but I'd like to hear others' interpretations as well. Thus far, everyone's has been different, and none have been the same as mine. To me, that's a plus.] View the route on Google Maps: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&msa=0&hl=en&msid=103576089604450691050.00000112125432f313093

Last week I took my trusty '04 KLR650 on a 4 day, (about) 900 mile trip from Chicago IL to the Wilderness State Park in the Lower Peninsula part of the state of Michigan, just a few miles west of Mackinaw City. Beautiful state for a motorcycle ride, limitless options of routes, paved and unpaved. Had the best of times and hopefully this video can give you a little bit of a taste of what I experienced. I must apologize for never realizing how low the GoPro is pointing as I don't have the necessary technology to see what's being recorded, with the addition of it being mounted on top of my head... You can see the horizon in most of the video tho! :) Enjoy!

Inspired by Stan Brakhage films, I decided to make a silent short in my dorm. It's a meditation on anxiety, and also I was in college. Those are the things you need to know!

hello my name is James Grochowalski I will be posting a timelapse of me during the work hours of Monday thru Friday. Everyday will be recorded of me working on the computer and doing other various tasks throughout the day. This is a sort of spin off/updated version of the picture being taken of yourself for several years which is seen of people on youtube. This is just an experiment I am doing to see if anyone would like to follow me and watch me do what I do on a day to day basis. Enjoy watching me look like a fool as I stare into computer screens for countless hours :)

"Touching the Spirit" art exhibition is a result of a collaborative effort between the Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living and the University of Michigan. This exhibit showcases the final clay works from a course held at the AACIL. Last Monday was the exhibit's opening and I was asked to shoot the day's festivities and come up with a promotional video that the AACIL could use in the future. Shot with the Canon 7D (hand held) and the Rode Video Mic with no pre-amps. As you watch the video, you probably realize there was a lot of background noise. The exhibition room was small and everyone was talking so loudly. Despite that and all the echoes, the Rode still picked up the interviewees voices. Quite impressive for a relatively 'cheap' mic. Lenses: Canon 24-105mm f4 Sigma 15mm f2.8 fisheye Comments and questions most welcomed!

                      Tags

Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
