This is the first in series of archive clips from old harddrives and tapes. Few clips and story behind them. Here's few clips from Portes Du Soleil, Switzerland. Great place to build backcountry kickers for snowboarding. It was march/april 2007 and last day with good powder snow. We had this quite big jump and got some great tricks on it but also some slams. Here's few shots of Antti-Juhani Piirainen, Miikka Hast and Matti Kinnunen from the day. We were filming for The Scrapbook Project. Movie that was released with the biggest snowboard magazines in the world with 400 000 copies. Check out www.scrapbook.fi . See more from www.flatlightfilms.com

In their first 'Stories From Here To There' episode of this winter, Miikka Hast and Jonas Hagström head way up north, 500 kilometres above the Arctic Circle to find their first powder of the season. In an area with no ski resorts, lifts, bars or shops the Protest team riders test their early season stamina. The two Scandinavians take their splitboards for a hike into the darkness. Taking full advantage of the two to three hours of daylight, to ride the amazing powder in this Northern Norwegian region. Follow the Protest team riders in their 'Story From Here To There'.

http://www.protest.eu Protest Boardwear ‘Stories from here to There’ take you on a journey with their professional snowboarders Miikka Hast and Jonas Hagstrom. Both eat, breath and sleep snowboarding for the last 20 years. Miikka started off in the early days, based in his caravan in Ruka and is enjoying the good life! Jonas grew up with his ‘own’ back yard ski resort, run by his parents. Nowadays they both travel the world to where ever the snow is good and conditions come together. This time they meet in Japan to experience the Japanese culture, the pow and the Japanese Onsen (equivalent to the Finish Sauna, as Miikka knows). Japan has amazing snow, when it snows it snows all the time. So you can be sure to get tons of snow in January/February. Unfortunately the conditions aren’t the best this time. Rain, snow, fog and more snow… it seems impossible to find good spots. But they make the impossible possible and experience an awesome travel from their personal ‘here to there’. There is always something to ride on! This is just the beginning of their story in Japan. Next episode, they hike to a lonely abundan place up the mountain, crash in a hut to find the ultimate pow one more time… Follow Miikka and Jonas on their mission.
