A video about the HLF Skills for the Future programme, in partnership with the NWFED. The programme, which finished in 2014, set up traineeships in Manchester and Salford as a means of diversifying the workforce of the heritage and cultural sector. Trainees worked towards gaining an NVQ qualification while partner institutions have developed an understanding of issues affecting disabled visitors and have improved their offer in their organisations. Further information about the programme is on the National Museums Liverpool website: www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/about/partnerships/hlf-skills-for-the-future.aspx

The participants wrote lyrics, based on the theme, and recorded and performed the pieces. Here is a short wrap up video of the final performance of those pieces on gallery at the International Slavery Museum in Liverpool.
