A beautiful electronic ode to dislocation. Produced by Lo Recording’s own Charlie Alex March and mixed by Ash Workman (Simian Mobile Disco, Metronomy, etc) the single is an ideal entry point into the world of Nazca Lines, a world where crisp R ‘n’ B beats merge seamlessly with pop melodies. In some way a more succinct version of Junior Boys’ 21st Century soul and sharing their love of 80s Scritti Politti, place ‘Compass Points’ in your BMW Z4 before coasting into the evening desert.

The second single to be taken from the forthcoming album by NZCA LINES is another slice of sweet electro R’n’B. Like all the best pop, this tune has an ineffable sense of longing with a touch of melancholy. nzca-lines.com 'Okinawa Channels' will be released on 16/01/2012 Filmed at Lo & Behold by Andrzej Sosnowski (drzej.com) and Harry Mayes (ehmayes.co.uk). The Nazca Lines are a series of ancient designs etched into a plateau in the Nazca Desert of Peru. The etchings extend about 50 miles, with some individual drawings measuring more than 600 feet across. Some of the drawings are of animals, birds and human beings, while others are simple lines and geometric shapes. Source: http://whatarealiens.com

I was in Peru for 3 weeks and took some video-footage with my Nikon D90. It's nothing big but shows some impressions i had on my trip. The video contains footage from the bustour to the sacred valley, the jungle trip to machu picchu, lake titicaca, flying over the nazca lines and doing the sand buggy in huacachina. Unfortunately, some of my additional footage is broken. :-(

Up until the making of this animation the phenomenon of the Nazca Lines in Peru could never be explained. How did these huge drawings in the earth get there, especially since they were created well before the invention of aviation? Perhaps some enormous creatures had a better vantage point for playing their games. As the title suggests, the mystery is finally revealed.
