This is a rather rudimentary video of an early prototype of our Air in Water installation. Firing bubbles from an airline, installed in the bottom of a fish tank, allowed us to write letters, numbers and shapes in the water.. After this rough version, we made a nicer prototype.. That one allowed you to send a text message to the tank, so you could see your messages float before your eyes.. http://greyworld.org

This is a more polished second attempt at the Air in Water installation. Here, the characters are slightly better formed, and the ugly tubes have vanished. We also started to play with light. This one allowed text messages to be sent to the tank, so you could see you message float up in the water. www.greyworld.org

CD players are not really "players". CDs don't play, they just give digital instructions. An idea. What are the real sounds of CD players? They are the sounds of their mechanisms and engines. The installation "CD player" analyzes the sound from a CD and, when it is similar to the one of the engines, when a specific operation is activated (play, pause, stop, etc), the installation will activate that operation. Now "CD player" is a really player.

They’re so great and miserable you know, all these taught little chain-smokers that wore blue and built the world. Maybe you knew or heard about some of them. They always woke up so early and never smiled. They sold their bags of blood and bone and muscle for dog shit and free soup. They had principles because they never read the kinds of books that made you burn all of those off in the name of youth. The facts are the facts I’ve heard and the fact is that we live in and on their staggered monuments of industry. We occupy this world of walls their little brick bodies stacked to make us and we owe them as we hate them. So say a little silent thanks when you’re spitting on a sidewalk.
