Paris & NY, like many large cities, have a lot in common ; transport, infrastructure, national monuments. I wanted to explore not only these comparisons but also the differences, in order to expose the beauty and individuality of each. What you cannot deny is the vibrancy and explosion of character each city has and I thought split-screen with timelapse would be a good way to help convey this. Created for OpenSkies, the french airline specialist on the Paris-New York route. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to collaborate with you and make this video. www.ba.com/openskiesus Shot with canon 5D mark III and edited with Lightroom, After Effects and Premiere Music is Tony Anderson - Further up, further in. www.District7Media.net @TheVoder @District7M Midtown New York City is the place to be. The lights, cars, traffic, architecture and people make the city come to life as a living, breathing, organism that never sleeps. Take a trip with this time-lapse production into the city and see the sights and sounds that create this magnificent destination. For us, this time-lapse production was produced using more than 50,000 still frames, shot over the course of 6 months traveling back and forth from Washington DC to New York City while we shot for clients. Our main goal was to capture the central part of the city in both visuals and audio. The sound effects used in this production were taken from the various locations we shot and were added in to give you the feeling of actually being there. There were multiple times during this shoot that we were chased off, either by cops or the cold. The subway shots were particularly difficult to get, especially in the wake of the Boston bombings. We were led out and in some cases followed by police officers or MTA officials who seemed intent on getting us for using tripods. The music is performed by the talented Danny McCarthy (Fracture) (Music has been licensed through Killertracks.com) ***MIDTOWN Water UFO*** We captured something we can't explain. Jennifer was a stunningly beautiful dancer, who contacted me after seeing my Playboy TV show. We decided to shoot on the Robert Moses beach in New York. Unfortunately we couldn't shoot on the nude beach, as I needed a permit. You could be topless on the public beach, but not nude. None the less, we managed to sneak it in. That was quite fun. Seeing as Jennifer had this perfect dancers body, I tried to turn her into a leaping piece of art. She had an incredible ass as you can see to. It was nice that her boyfriend was there too, to help me shoot the video. This was one of my favorite shoots ever, as I haven't gotten to photograph enough naked ladies during summer sunsets as much as I'd like. Hope you like :) ~Andrew

Daniel Rozin "PomPom Mirror", 2015 928 faux fur pom poms, 464 motors, control electronics, xbox kinect motion sensor, mac-mini computer, custom software, wooden armature 48 x 48 x 18 in / 121.9 x 121.9 x 45.7 cm Edition of 6, 1 AP Rozin’s anthropomorphic "PomPom Mirror" features a synchronized array of 928 spherical faux fur puffs. Organized into a three-dimensional grid of beige and black, the sculpture is controlled by hundreds of motors that build silhouettes of viewers using computer-vision. Along its surface, figures appear as fluffy animal-like representations within the picture plane, which is made permeable by a ‘push-pull’ forward and backward motion of meshed ‘pixels’. Ghostly traces fade and emerge, as the motorized composition hums in unified movement, seemingly alive and breathing as a body of its own. Filmed and edited by Victoria Sendra.

This performance took place at Powerhouse Arena during the 2010 Dumbo Arts Festival: 36 models followed live direction, as vocalists and violins emerged from within the "living picture." The performance featured an original a Cappella score by Rima Fand and Sarah Small, and co-performance direction by Adam J. Thompson. Directly following the performance, a panel of choreographers, curators, and art historians (Jill Sigman, Mashinka Firunts, Danny Snelson, and Natalie Galazka) led a discussion about the contemporary intersection of performance and photography. The panel was moderated by Elizabeth Barragan and was curated by Lindsay Comstock.
