According to the book of John, chapter 19, two men who secretly worshiped Jesus, Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus went to Pilate and requested to have the body of Jesus to prepare it for burial. They took the body of Jesus and placed it in a new tomb. Later, very early on the first day of the week, Mary went to the tomb and did not find Jesus' body. Jesus is not dead, He is a risen Savior! Please listen to Minister Joel Wilson as he teaches us about the resurrection of Jesus! He Lives!

Several days have passed since the public execution of Jesus of Nazareth, the nondescript carpenter’s Son who some claim was the Messiah. The tension in Jerusalem has reached fever pitch. Conspiracy theories abound as ordinary citizens, religious leaders and Roman authorities try to decipher what is fact and what is fable. “Did Jesus indeed rise from the dead on the third day as He promised?” In order to prevent further escalation and bring this burgeoning crisis to a swift and permanent end, Rome has dispatched an envoy to investigate these claims surrounding Christ’s alleged resurrection.

Through this verse-by-verse series, we're studying the first-hand look at the life of Jesus as presented to us by the Apostle John. The purpose of John's writing is stated in John 20:31, "But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name!" In this sermon Michael Boehm unpacks the story of Jesus and Nicodemus and the significance of being born again regardless of one's credentials. (John 3:1-15)
