"A Compassionate Plea to All Mankind" Hereditary Chief Beau Dick along with family members & supporters complete their long walk from Quatsino near Port Hardy, across Vancouver Island to the Victoria Parliament buildings. Beau Dick is seen here passionately speaking about the History of First Nations peoples & his concerns for the direction humanity is heading, destroying our environment and natures gifts in the pursuit of riches for the few at the expense of many, including generations to come. Beau reminds us all that we are living in dangerous times and what we are doing to planet earth will affect all humanity in an adverse manner. We must soon change our ways as there are things more important than money. A more compassionate message straight from the heart would indeed be hard to find. Thank You Beau / You make me proud to be a fellow species member ! Something in this world to-day I don't often say . KeepEmStraight_The only solution !

A simple edit of footage I shot at a site along the shore of Jervis Inlet, B.C., on Canada's west coast, for my documentary film: This Living Salish Sea This is just meant as a very basic sample to show some of the latest underwater work for my film, so, sorry for the somewhat abrupt ending. A big thank you to Beverly & Jim Saunders for the invite, boat ride, warm hospitality and support for protecting these precious natural spaces. (See more from Beverly Saunders who publishes an interactive online magazine for the Sunshine Coast, dealing with sustainability issues, the environment and the community at: sustainablecoast.ca) Also, thanks to iTorch for a discount on a light purchase, they are helping as one of the sponsors for my film. Camera: Panasonic DMC-GH3 Lens: Panasonic Lumix 14-42mm Lights: iTorch Pro5 & Pro6 plus my own custom built 2,000 lumen Led light. Note, there is an octupus hiding in one of the shots, maybe you can spot it? Earlier in the summer, I was filming a lot of beautiful large seastars, but sadly, now they have all died, from some as yet undetermined cause, so none of those are appearing any longer in my coverage.
