Can http://vimeo.com/52728056, Baraka, TimeScapes http://www.facebook.com/VideoSapien Humans are part of the natural order. We're risen apes that acquired language and learned to use tools. Skyscrapers and spacecraft may seem unnatural, but they're just as much a part of the natural order as beaver dams and bird nests. Boring electrical lines hint at the energy solution of a mammalian species. Open your eyes to the world you've grown accustomed to, and rejoice in the fact that you participate in the human project. - @ReidGower - http://www.twitter.com/reidgower Music: Artist: DatA Song: "Blood Theme" Taken from the album "Skywriter" Courtesy of Ekler'o'shock Records and Naïve Editions https://www.facebook.com/0data0 Buy the song on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/ca/album/skywriter/id426310809 Shot on: Nikon D300 Canon 5DMII (courtesy of Victoria Camera Traders https://www.facebook.com/CameraTraders) GoPro Hero 2

This is the culmination of many, many hours of timelapsing the auroras this winter. All footage is made in Andenes, Andøya in north of Norway. I used two DSLR's, a Canon 350D and a 40D wich took thousands of pictures, then batch processed some of the series and later on put them together to small movies using a fantastic little free program called VirtualDub. It was a constant struggle against wind, snow and cold. I could not always place the cameras where I wanted to because of wind. That is why you see some fences, because I had to place the camera behind buildings so it wouldnt fall. It took me about 1.5 hour to make 10 seconds of film, mostly taking long exposures at 10 or 13 sec, all depending. The aurora season this year was not very active but Im glad I atleast got these shots. The music is licenced by Jamendo, the artist is called Galdson and the nice song is named Merlaska. This video is not to be used anywhere else than vimeo, without further agreement with me. I can be contacted at terje@nesthus.net I hope you enjoy this movie :) © Terje Nesthus 2009

** FOR BEST QUALITY, MAKE SURE HD IS ON, FULLSCREEN, AND YOUR SPEAKERS ARE UP ** Imagine California is a series of 3 time-lapse videos, each made of thousands of individual photographs that I took around the state. It took almost a full year to take over 300,000 photos, and to edit these videos together. In this time, I worked closely with the talented musician, Art Pacheco, to create 3 original music scores. Stay tuned for the next 2 videos, which will be released on Tuesday, Nov 12 and Tuesday, Nov 19. Follow Me to stay in the loop! This project began as a personal endeavour to document Norway as I travelled through the country last year in my VW campervan, such an awe inspiring landscape demands to be captured. Unpredictable and changeable weather, vast fjords, and formidable mountain ranges all helped shape the timelapse into a visual diary of my journey north. Locations: Nyksund, Odda, Trolltunga, Preikestolen/Pulpit Rock, Munkebu, Lofoten Islands, Voss, Kvalvika, Myrland, Fredvang, Reinebringen, Hamnøy, Reine, Å, Svolvær, and Tromsø. Some Lofoten spots inspired by Cody Duncan. Equipment: Canon 6D Canon 17-40mm Canon 24-105mm LEE filters (soft + hard grads) Manfrotto BeFree tripod Miller Safari tripod Motion Control by Kessler Crane www.kesslercrane.com Soundtrack - 'Kings' by Ryan Taubert (The Music Bed) To follow the rest of my journey visit www.vdubvanlife.com

I had been dreaming about making this trip for more than 10 years. It was not as desired as the one I made last year on the West coast (vimeo.com/56812817), but still. Today, I feel like I never left Iceland. I stayed in the mountains and hot springs. Every night I see myself arriving to Jökulsárlón and spending the night of my 31st birthday contemplating the northern lights. A permanent show. Everywhere. I lost myself there. Too good to be true. The only thing I have been thinking about ever since is too grab my bagpack, my stuff and go away, far away, again. _______________ Filmed and edited by Seb Houis Many thanks to my Road Buddies Molly, Antonin & Gaspard. Thanx to Wally for the English translation ;-) Shot with a 5d Mark 3 and Magic Lantern - Raw (www.magiclantern.fm) Optics are Nikkor 35mm f2 + Samyang 14mm f2.8 + Zenit Jupiter 9 85mm f2.
